When to fast
Arthritis or other degenerative disease.
When the tongue is coated.
One day once a month just to give your body a rest.
At the Equinox as a kind of spring and fall cleaning.
When suffering from a virus, cold or flu.
When you have no appetite, fast but for broths and digestive teas.
When you are constipated and not eliminating your meals.
When not to fast
When recovering from surgery.
When it’s time to rebuild and tonify rather than cleanse.
When you’re too thin.
When you suffer from lack of bile production (clay colored stools), as this can lead to more stone formation. If this is an issue for you and you still want to fast, then take 1 tablespoon of good EFA oil 2x a day.
