1. When you wake up in the morning, drink a glass of very warm water or a warm Cleansing Drink. The warmth of the water should enduce a BM.
2. Drink 2-3 Cleansing Drinks a day, cayenne promotes regularity.
3. Take one tablespoon of good oil (cycle between cod liver old, wheat germ oil, flax) 2x a day, and a dose of castor oil right before bed (castor oil is a laxative).
4. Eat a high-fiber diet: hot whole grain cereal; congee; plenty of veggies; avoid really rich, high-fat, high-dairy dishes with cheese.
5. Eat at least one bowl of fruit a day, preferably a fruit compote of prunes, dried apricots, etc., see recipes in Essential Recipes/Misc recipes – all those fruit recipes are great aids for regularity. Snack on nuts, dates and raisins.
6. Go for a short walk 15 minutes after meals and keep your ab muscles strong.
7. Keep in touch with your body and never ever delay when you first feel the urge to go.
8. If the stool gets stuck in the rectal area, never strain. Use glycerin tab suppositories instead. Available at any drugstore. Or use a Fleet enema, or your own enema bucket.
9. As your evening snack, have either hot simmered milk (you can use rice dream – recipe in the Healthy Food – The Vital Health Kitchen section) or better yet, flax seed tea.
10. Drink Eater’s Digest tea (fennel, peppermint) 30 minutes after a meal.
