WHAT IS A PROLAPSED COLON?
A prolapsed colon is where the transverse colon – the section that goes across the body – collapses due to congestion, gravity, poor posture, and incorrect positioning for eliminating stools.
COMPLICATIONS & DIAGNOSING A PROLAPSED COLON
People who have a prolapsed colon have the worst kind of constipation – the kind that is toughest to cure. It requires a dedicated, consistent protocol to reshape and reposition the colon.
A prolapsed colon will place pressure on all of the organs under it: uterus, ovaries, gonads, bladder. The decreased circulation prevents toxins and acids from leaving the area. This coupled with the pressure can cause sterility, ovarian cysts, prostrate problems, frequent urination and hemorrhoids.
A prolapsed colon should show up on an iridology test. It won’t necessarily show up on a colonoscopy.
HOW TO CURE A PROLAPSED COLON
The cleansing protocol should include a fiber-based intestinal cleanser rather than just the other options. It may begin with something to soften the impacted fecal matter, such as an oxygen-based cleanser and colonic irrigations, but must include fiber.
Don’t use bentonite clay, it will get in the way of the herbs that must be used.
There should be cycles of at least 3 days of astringent/toning therapy (see table below) every week.
Correct your posture while evacuating. This means either squatting down over something on the floor, or place some kind of a step to stand on around the toilet so you can crouch over the toilet seat. Special contraptions are manufactured. Failing that, at the very least, put your hands high over your head while you void. This will change the pressure. Very helpful for hemorrhoids.
Exercise! walking, slant board exercises, ab exercises
Massage. Can use a tennis ball.
Yoga and Inversion. Should stands, hand stands, gravity boots, slant boards – lying so your feet are higher than your head. This reverses the effects of gravity, relieves pressure on the colon, allows for better circulation, clears thoracic duct, and so greatly speeds up the detoxing process. Try to do 15 minutes a day. Even a minute is better than none.
WHAT ARE HEMORRHOIDS AND WHAT CAUSES THEM?
Swollen blood vessels in and around the rectum, technically, although swollen blood vessels may happen anywhere there is soft tissue and could happen elsewhere in the colon and small intestine, but when they happen there the name tends to change. Spider veins, varicose veins, are all swollen veins.
Vein health depends on good nutrition, moderate temperatures, good circulation. Things that wreak havoc with veins are alcohol; saunas and steam baths if done to excess or beyond your limits; standing or sitting for long periods so that blood pools.
Hemorrhoids will happen simply due to gravity if you tend to be constipated and have feces placing pressure on the area whether you’re trying to evacuate or not. Pushing to evacuate will burst or weaken veins. Incorrect posture for evacuation will encourage hemorrhoids.
Preparation H offers temporary relief and is quite safe to use, so do avail yourself of this OTC ointment as needed. But don’t expect it to cure your problem, and don’t assume that the problem is incurable or requires surgery.
If the hemorrhoids are giving you extreme discomfort, a liquid diet may be called for. The protein shake with extra eggs and fresh-squeezed veggie juices will help keep you nourished.
If the discomfort is not extreme, moist fiber is essential to keep stools from getting too hard. Either a fiber and mild laxative or oxygen-based intestinal cleanser to ensure softer stools is appropriate at this time. Flaxseed tea is excellent at this time, followed by the toning/astringent herbs in the table below.
HEMORRHOID CURE
Eat more garlic, ginger onion, dark berries for the compounds that aid vein rebuilding
Mild to medium doses of blood thinners/circulatory aids: garlic, ginger, aspirin, cayenne pepper, rosemary, turmeric/curcoma. Don’t take these prior to surgery.
Keep stools soft
Void as soon as you feel the need. Never wait. Use proper posture
Skin food and wound repairing food, especially cod liver oil, Vitamin C, zinc, Bromelain – in pineapple juice and digestive enzyme supplements.
Aloe Vera Juice (see below) followed by marshmallow or slippery elm tea
Using Aloe Vera Juice
Get the drinkable liquid, not the gel. Try to find a brand with very few preservatives. Drink 1/2 cup 3x daily for at least 3 days.
Marshmallow or Slippery Elm Tea
Put an ounce of tea in 2 cups simmering water, cover pot and turn off the heat. These herbs should steep rather than simmer. Drink down. One of these doses a day.
Tincture is also fine. About 1/2 a dropperful 2x daily. A full dropper ful may be fine, check the bottle, as strengths differ.
