Constipation

If your constipation is but a difficult meal (chocolate, cheese, deep-fried, low-fiber) that gets stuck in the rectum, either an enema or glycerin tab suppository is the best thing to do. NEVER STRAIN. It is better to, ahem, go digging rather than strain. Straining causes hemorrhoids. The rectum has tons of veins very near to the surface that break easily under pressure. Change your eating/drinking habits and this should cease.

If your constipation is a long-term thing evidenced by long periods without a BM, thin stools, hard/compact stools, bloat, gas, an uncomfortable feeling, irritability, stooped posture, distended abdomen, acne, then it’s time for a cleaning.

Enema kit

If you’re not suffering any real pain, burning or diarrhea, then your best options are:

Colonic irrigations
Colema setup with 5 gallon bucket
Flushing Enemas with a 2 quart bag or bucket setup. Use salted water, or H202 solutions, or Liquid Chlorophyll.
Retention enemas of oil (only if tongue is not coated) or coffee
Cayenne tincture – drink the Cleansing Drink
Taking a teaspoon of olive oil 1-3x daily to induce bile release. Bile encourages peristaltic action.
Fruit laxatives
Herbal laxatives
Saline Laxatives
Bulk Fiber Supplements

– flax seed – whole or ground or as tea is best
– psyllium seed fiber. Not everyone can handle psylluim, it is a very slow fiber. Best when combined with cascara sagrada like in Agape’s Perfect 7 Intestinal Cleanser.
– apple pectin. Really scours the colon. Can be irritating to the small intestine over time.
– Guar gum. Makes the fiber supplement more like gelatin. Glycerin tab suppositories
a strong cup of coffee (in case of emergency)
Choline/Lecithin and Magnesium are necessary for the neurotransmitter that tells the colon to perform peristaltic action. Some forms of chronic constipation are actually a deficiency of these compounds.
Cleansing Carrot Salad and Beets – a clean liver gives up more bile and induces more peristaltic action. Carrots have a very safe fiber.

After a series of these, follow with probiotics to replace friendly flora. You don’t have to take probiotics after every flush.

Note: the salt water flush is only suitable when fasting. It is not a good solution for when there is impacted fecal matter or constipation.
