For thoroughly cleansing both the small and large intestine a basic protocol would go something like this:
Diet management: Fasting or cleansing diet. Include Kefir/Yogurt in your diet. Should include Kichadi, cleansing carrot salad, beets or a beet supplement tab (Dr. Jensen sells one), artichokes, fruit compote, dates, figs, hot cereal.
Drink at least 45 ounces of water. You shouldn’t have to drink more than 80 fluid ounces overall, and indeed, if you do, you may be depleting yourself of valuable electrolytes and interrupting digestion too much.
6 colonics (or colemas or enemas). Do one or two a week. If enemas, do 3 a week.
Concurrently, take digestive enzymes with every meal and one before bed.
At night before bed, take a combination of mild laxatives and intestinal cleanser, bulk fiber. This should be taken with at least 12 ounces of water.
In the morning, drink a large glass of very warm water. This induces a bowel movement. Do not start rushing about and starting your day until you have one.
Take one teaspoon of olive oil or a nut oil 1-3x daily.
Drink one cup of herbal laxative tea as part of your late afternoon snack, or Triphala.
Eat kefir and after the series of colonics take acidophilus supplements for a couple days and perhaps a retention enema of kefir/acidophilus solution.
Exercise helps. Walking, stretching, Yoga, exercising the abs.
