I recently received this healing request and I would like to post it here also. I hope you can join me in prayer and loving light.

Greetings with gratitude,

First of all, we want to thank you for responding to our healing request for our sweet daughter Hannah. This has been a long journey for us, since Hannah was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia in March of 1995.

We wanted to give you the opportunity to learn more about Hannah's
background. Go to Hannah's webpage at www.caringbridge.org/wa/hannah Here you can review our past journal entries to get a summary of our healing journey since moving to Seattle for Hannah's bone marrow transplant.

Prior to coming to Seattle, we relied heavily on complimentary care. So in additional to western medicine, we had been to many Spiritual Healers, Naturopathic Doctors, Homeopathic Doctors, Chi Gong Masters, and Chinese Acupuncturists over the past 10 years.

Hannah has survived more setbacks than we could have ever imagined and continues to astound and surprise the Doctors.

She recently had a new, but recurring blood infection last Thursday from pseudomonas bacteria that caused her blood pressure to drop dangerously low for so long we thought we were going to loose her.

Because of her ongoing post transplant issues with Graft vs. Host Disease (GVHD), the Doctors have instituted DNR orders (do not resuscitate) for Hannah . . . against our wishes. This means they would not even allow the nurses to use medication (such as Dopamine) to help support her blood pressure, until the antibiotics could kick in and help restore her blood. Needless to say we had a very nerve racking night. Her blood pressure was as low as 58/28. It wasn't until late the next day that her blood pressure was back to normal.

This recent infection affected her breathing so much that she had to go back to wearing her BIPAP (pressurized breathing mask with oxygen) continuously, as opposed to 12 hours a day while sleeping.

We just prayed all night long and held her hand and just kept visualizing her higher blood pressure numbers 70's over 40's all night long and my morning her blood pressure was right there! By the Grace of God, we were shown another miracle!

Hannah is teaching us so much and our belief is that she would not go
through all of this unless she planned on "surviving". She has had so many opportunities to go if her spirit had wanted to, including the past episode on Thanksgiving weekend when she had an intestinal hemorrhage where she nearly bled to death. She had uncontrolled bleeding for 2 days and the evening of the second day the Doctors tried Amacord (a clot enhancer) and Factor 7 to finally stop the bleeding. By Monday morning she was finally stable enough to hold her own (see the past journal entries for details).

"With God all things are possible"

This recent infection has also caused her GVHD to flare causing irritation in her gut. This has led to bloody stools Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

She is also transfusion dependent as she needs red cells every week and platelets every day. Even though she had her bone marrow transplant over 20 months ago, she still is not able to produce enough red cells and platelets to meet her needs. Some of this is assumed to be caused by the ongoing medications and others say it is a result of having ongoing GVHD problems. She also has tremendous pain in her hips and legs, but only during her Ambisome infusions, which are for 3 hours every other day. This drug is a necessary antifungal drug and we are working with the Pain Team to help Hannah tolerate these infusions with her daily methadone as well as Dilaudid boluses during these infusions.

Also because of her intestinal hemorrhage Thanksgiving weekend, her kidneys did not received adequate blood flow and were so stressed that she now has to be on continuous dialysis (24 hours a day). And because of this requirement, she still needs to be in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) her at Children's Hospital. Until she is off continuos dialysis she has to stay in the PICU. We plan to transition to the standard hemodialysis as her kidneys recover. Once this occurs, Hannah can go back to the 3rd floor, BMT unit to continue healing in preparation for getting out of the hospital.

We are also facing the removal of infected IV lines this week as part of healing and recovering from these recent infections.

We plan to resubmit Hannah's healing request on a weekly basis. But as some of you kind folks have requested, we wanted to provide an update and will continue to keep you all informed of Hannah's progress.

We will plan to resubmit our Healing Request through the Distance Healing Network Website. Many of you have requested to be updated on Hannah's progress, so we will try to do this on a regular basis. We are so grateful for all of your kindness and continued help with Hannah's Healing.

We are so grateful for all of your kindness and continued help with Hannah's Healing.

Dave, Janet and Family, especially Hannah!!!!
