Hi,
For the past 4-5 years, I seem to be developing what I can only assume is a tiny patch of rosacea on my left cheek. It's a really small area that gets red, a little blotchy/spotty, and is worse some days over others. Anyone have any tips on getting rid of it?
I know it's important to understand a bit of my health and habits. In a nutshell, I'm 32, female, and healthy. I've taken an interest in holistic health just because, but have no issues to speak of. No acne, pain, stomach problems, etc. I have done about 4 bowel cleanses in the last few years (Dr. Natura) that have been SUPER great, and one liver cleanse (Shelly's slow method). That's about it. I eat mostly whole, organic foods, but sure do partake of the junk here and there. Feel great, just wondering how I might get rid of this little patch of red.
Thanks! |

| if that's your only symptom, then see if increasing your intake of good water, fresh essential fatty acids, zinc and B vits helps. If it doesn't, then consider doing a parasite cleanse. |

I'm 28 and have rosacea too (all over my face, though, redness, rough texture, clogged pores, pimples on my cheeks). They say you are not supposed to get it this young, but we do!!!
A few suggestions.
Figure out what your triggers are. Mine gets worse with lack of sleep, stress and alcohol. Sadly the only thing that keeps mine consistently under control is tretinoin. My main rosacea problem is the clogged pores, and this is what the tretinoin works against. I hope that with enough internal cleansing, I will eventually be able to stop using it.
I also find that exfoliation helps, despite what doctors will tell you. If you have Shoppers Drug Mart where you live, they have a product called Skinplicity Papaya Intensive Facial Mask that I find helps. Maybe because of the fruit enzymes (bromelain?). I also like Shelley's ginger + ACV concoction. I've also recently started using neem ointment on it.
2) Liver flushes seem to help mine. It's been much improved for about a week now. Then again it could be the neem ointment, the improvement at work or the meditation that's doing it.....or all of them together....
3) I agree with Shelley about the oils. My skin seems to be better when I take my EFA's, vitamin A and E. |
