Shelley,

Ive been following your candida diet protocol for just over 3 weeks very strictly with only a couple of cheats, a glass of red wine and a couple of roast parsnips with dinner yesterday...I felt guilty but my willpower just disappeared!

Ive been totally off all wheat, dairy (except eggs and kefir), sugar, fruit etc and rotating candida fibre shake with grapeseed oil, specially encapsulated caprylic acid (cant get liquid over here) along with probiotics and kefir shakes. And muching down whole garlic cloves - yummy...

Ive generally felt better overall but am still having problems with a lot of excess flatulance, even if food is only in my intestines for a very short time - less than 24 hours, even using series of enemas to detox the colon and liver flushes and oxypowder.
If anything they seem to be a lot more frequent / worse since starting the cleanse which I initially put down to eating a lot more legumes and beans.

What do you think the solution might be to this? Increasing probiotics? Its obviously unpleasant and inconvenient (they're clearly 'protein' ones, with smell, according to your sticky about them). Im following all guidelines like spicing meals, digestive teas, cleansing drinks etc My transit time is still around 24 hours.

Just wondering what I might do to get rid of them!

When you have problems digesting proteins even when following the rules for strong digestion, that could mean either congested liver (unless you've cleansed thoroughly) or pacreatic insufficiency. Now I know you've liver cleansed, but what about taking digestive enzymes, Vitamin C and sulfur/MSM? Have they helped?

Shelley,

Thanks for your response. I got to thinking about what you said and analysed my situation a little more, Im definitely getting a good amount of Vit C from the cleansing drinks and emergenC, and MSM in that too (along with plenty of onions, sauerkraut).

Im still pretty sure that my liver needs some work, so am on your beetroot cleansing salad regimen.

What would symptoms of pancreatic problems be?

So, after thinking I decided that I would massively increase my dosage of probiotics. I took 3 caps with everything I ate (2 billion per cap) along with my kefir every other day and although Im still flatulant its much much much less and they dont have much smell. The problem would then seem to be that I over did the anti-fungals too much and killed too many of my goodies off, perhaps, do you think?
I know that some spices can irritate them too and I was eating a lot of spicy stuff along with mycopryl and a combination anti fungal with GSE shakes...so Im thinking I went a bit hard on them...

I will keep up with the probiotics and kefir and see if that keeps it under control.

I really am very grateful for all your suggestions and patience in dealing with my minor woes!

People with pancreatic insufficiency may have symptoms of pale, foul-smelling, bulky stools that stick to the side of the toilet bowl or are difficult to flush, oil droplets floating in the toilet bowl after bowel movements, and abdominal discomfort, gas, and bloating (these are most common for mild cases). Due to malabsorption from not having enough enzymes, people with pancreatic insufficiency may also have bone pain, muscle cramps, night blindness, and easy bruising.
