Hi shelley,
ive had a problem with very very dry skin since a year back when my diet wasnt very good. Overnight my skin became dry..like it lost all its moisture. Since then ive maintained a healthy diet with lots of veggies, fruits, good fats and proteins. Starting in march, i also did about 6 liver flushes..since i heard they are connected. However, my skin remains pale and dry without much moisture. Could you advice on what i could try for this problem. Thank you. |

It doesn't hurt to moisturize your skin, avocado oil penetrates well. But you have to address all the possible causes for a chronic issue, here are the ones for dry skin:
High calcium, high magnesium, low sodium, low iron, low choline, low phosphorus, high/low Vit A, low iodine, low EFAs, heavy metal toxicity, dehydration, heavy metal toxicity.
You won't be too high in anything unless you're supplementing or have a really skewed diet. If you're pale it's a good bet that low iron is the cause, which can be verified by simple blood tests, altho low iron usually causes night sweats. It would be a good idea to get a physical, because it's not good to take iron if you don't need it.
Hope that helps! |
