Hey Shelley,
I really love the raw egg protein shake, I just have a question as to what you think about the egg whites? I was reading recently that although the biotin issue isnt really a problem (enough in the yoke to compensate) there is a concern over the protein (trypsin) inhibitors present in the egg white. Do you think it would be best just to use the yoke by itself to prevent the potential problems created by reducing the ability of the body to digest protein?
Thanks. |

As long as you eat the entire egg with the yolk, it's really not a problem. Nature made sure it all balances out.
If you want to really make sure that the inhibitors don't cost you nutrients, then take at least one digestive enzyme with the shake and/or add one teaspoon of nutritional yeast flakes, which is very rich in all the B vits. |
