HI Shelly....long time no post.

I am curious as to why eating meat would make a person feel badly.
I know that I have low stomach acid and that would probably explain it...but
what else could it be. I ate lamb a couple of nights ago and felt fatigued and
even had some GI pain the next day.
What is really the core of this issue. Is liver involved..........gut bacteria...
whaaat. I really need to keep my protein up but wonder what sort of protocol
I should embark on. I was told that low stomach acid is stress related and have practiced meditation etc for a couple of years. I am a lot less stressed
now because of it...........but still have the digestion problem. I did use
HCL for a couple of months but saw no improvement after I stopped and frankly even with the Hcl I still had issues with colon pain.

What are the key elements in this puzzle re digestion..........

what did you eat with the lamb? How was the lamb prepared?

Meditation alone won't do a thing for low stomach acids, you have to take B vits and lots of healthy salts (seafood and celery, Bieler Broth). You should also provide your body with plenty of carbonate so it can afford to make the stomach acidic and neutralize it during small intestine digestion. So take half a teaspoon of baking soda in the Cleansing Drink for about 5 days.

Usually it's because the meat was not cooked slowly with bone and so you didn't eat any gelatin. That makes the proteins hard to digest. And if you didn't eat it with enough fiber it won't move fast enough, gets stuck adn festers.
