Hi guys,
I've been looking for this for a long time. We all know how fish oil is important, but do we know if what is on the label is really true.
Take a look at this list before you decide what brand to buy:

Thanks for posting that site.
It looks like their rating is pretty much based on whether or not the various companies responded to their requests for information? Seems like most of the ones that responded checked out fairly well. It would be nice if there was an independent company that tested for purity, vitamin content, etc.
One thing I recently noticed is that the Spectrum Organics cod liver oil I bought recently (since a store around here actually carries it) only has 4 IU of Vitamin D per tsp., vs. 400-500 IU that some other brands (Carlson, Garden of Life) have. That seems to be a huge difference, and will cause me to switch brands again. Guess I should know by now to always read the label! |

Yeah you are right, but if they didn't want to respond I'm guessing there is a reason behind this.
There is one more site, laboratory tests or something like that, I'll try to find the link, but you have to pay to see results.

By the way has anyone noticed any clear and positive effects from cod liver oil??
Heard it's supposed to be good for the adrenals, along side eating alot of cholestorol. |

I want to try now with cod liver oil, before I've used salmon oil and it had great effect on my skin. I was also giving it to my dog for arthritis problem. She was limping for a while and slowing down, I started with salmon oil and glucosamine, and after couple of days she was walking normally. Now she is running and playing like before.
I think people will benefit from any kind of fish oil, that is of course if you find the good brand.
