Hi Shelley-
I came to you for help recently about all this mucous that I have. You gave me great info to try out! It's getting better and worse, but I'm still plugging along to find what my body needs. Anyway, I have a very strong craving for salsa lately! Eat it with everything. I bought some organic salsa (no sugar) and some organic corn tortilla chips. I usually have that every night. Had scrambled eggs and salsa for lunch the other day. Another day had salsa on baked potato. First of all, what does this intense craving mean? Does the salsa have something in it that my body needs or is it a parasite/yeast craving? Secondly, if I have so much mucous in me, even though the salsa is hot, should I refrain from it because of the tomatoes? The other day when I had the eggs and salsa, later in the day I got really weak, like it was a huge effort to move my arms, hands, fingers, etc. At times felt really dizzy and went from feeling very cold to very hot. This was about 3 hours after eating. I was kind of naseus but felt extremely hungry also. It got a little better after I ate dinner. Now, this could be from the lunch, just a fluke, maybe that nasty flu that is going around, or part of my anxiety. I just don't know. Does it sound like anything you've experienced or have heard about? When I started feeling bad, I had some ginger tea, emergenC and green beans (in succession, as the first did not work). This darn anxiety is really impeding my progress in seeing what my body needs and what is working for me. Anytime I get any sort of healing crisis, or feelings of being sick, my anxiety kicks in and makes it worse, and then I don't know what is truly causing the symptoms and what I should continue to do and what to stop. Anyway, any insight you can give me on the above questions would be very much appreciated!

| Salsa cravings are a pretty complex craving! It's a combo of salt, potassium and minerals. Using sea salt instead of table salt, potassium broth or Bieler Broth, and using ConcenTrace supplement (see Sources) should take those cravings down. |

Thanks Shelley!
Is it doing any harm by eating the salsa? This salsa is made with sea salt instead of table salt and is all organic. I just don't want to make things worse mucous-wise if the tomatoes would be hindering progress. Also, the chips that I usually eat with it is all organic ground yellow corn, expeller-pressed sunflower oil and sea salt. Is any of this mucous forming? Or does the hotness of the other ingredients cancel it out?
Thanks!

| Corn and tomatoes can be problems, but it's an individual thing. You have to monitor your symptoms and see. Sometimes cravings are a good thing, but sometimes we get them for things we're allergic to. If you end up with an increased heart rate, coated tongue or gas, then they're not the right foods. But there's nothing inherently 'wrong' in salsa and chips really, especially if the chips are baked rather than deep-fried. |
