Hi Shelley

Is evening primrose oil ok to take and are they high in omega 3 6 or 9? I"m getting confused about what oils to take. I normally have orgainic fish oil caps but they are so expensive that i've swapped to linseed caps, and the evening primrose oil. maybe i'll just go back to the fish oil.

I suppose its important to get the right balance of all the omegas?

cheers caper

It's a good oil but somewhat estrogenic like most of the good oils. That's why it's best to get a combination like Udo's Choice. Borage is non-estrogenic and much cheaper than evening primrose, so flax with borage reduces the estrogenic properties of pure flax oil and costs less. Black current is also cheaper than evening primrose.

Fish oils are higher in Vitamin A, which is just as important as Omega 3's.

Oils in capsules are a very small amount. It's a good idea to have at least one oil besides olive that you have in a jar and not capsules that you use raw on foods and in salad dressings.
