Kinesiology is one part of this that I cant seem to get my head around...I dont know what Im doing wrong but Ive followed the guidelines and cant ever seem to get any responce...at least, not a natural responce from my body, it just seems to be me pushing too hard or not enough on my fingers.

Do you guys find that it actually works?

Im very open minded when it comes to alternative health but find the concept of accepting energy fields and such a little bewildering, especially after reading how the kirlian cameras dont actually work...

Is there any simple method that someone can teach me from experience?

If it's not working for you then DON'T WORRY! Smile Just try to get in touch with your body as much as you can by keeping a list of symptoms - all your symptoms. Update it once a week and see if the list is getting shorter, or symptoms are getting milder. If they are, you're making progress and all is well.

Just be safe and sane with your supplementation and occasionally check your food choices by using the pulse test.

I think I'm going to stop recommending the one-person method of kinesiology, it could be too much of a tautology to work for one's own health. I know practitioners who can do it on others and be accurate, but in doing it for ourselves we seem to get in our own way too much to be truly objective.

Is it safe to say that it can be effective if the person using it is skilled at distancing themselves enough from their own emotions or wishes to listen quietly to the body, such as someone who is skilled with meditative states? I have often found I get in my own way if I try to rush it or ask too many questions, but when let myself find a restful mind and approach things very quietly, I can get better responses that have immediately noticeable results.

Of course, that said, I most often feel a physical response to what I'm considering supplementing before I get to the kinesiology part. In which case you may not even need to do it..............

As you say, learn to read your own bodies. I think it starts with cultivating a meditative quieting within. Only then do we really notice the more subtle things the body is trying to say, before it resorts to screaming at us with major physcial symptoms.

Thank you both!

I guess learning to read our own bodies is very very important, and something we're all at least a little weak on, otherwise we wouldnt be here I guess would we?!

I do meditate several times a week, it is very centering, but I still find it hard to work out whether it is my body wanting a particualr supplement/food, or my mind interpreting things, or simple randomness with the kinesology method.

I guess I will just follow supplementation guidelines and my own symptoms as you say Shelley, I guess its only a problem with fat stored vits / minerals and allergens, just wouldnt want to OD Wink
