Hi!
I wanted to share my experience with this cleanse and see if anyone had any thoughts about my experience, which was really nothing. That's why I'm writing, I guess I'm a little disappointed.
2 1/2 weeks ago, I began my regimen of the following:
1500 mg malic acid a day w/ meals
Cleansing drink 2 x day
Carrot juice 2 x a day w/ 1 TB lecithin and 1 TB nutritional yeast 2 x a day
2 apples a day, eaten
Food: chai tea, bob's red mill hot cereal, bean/lentil soups, kichadi, carrot cleansing salads, cleansing pasta, etc. Lots of whole foods, good oils, cooked veggies, very little junk except the occasional chocolate piece.
Unfortunately after about 5 days, the malic acid tablets really hurt my stomach, so I stopped taking them, but kept up on everything else.
After about 9 days of this, I started taking the oil cocktail in the AM right when I woke up. Two TB of Olive or Flax, plus 2 garlic cloves and a bunch of pressed ginger, follwed by cleansing drink. I kept up with all the other stuff above, except the malic acid. I did this for 7 days.
I didn't notice anything happen at all that I'm aware of. Bowel function is and was great during this cleanse. But I saw nothing in stools, etc. Does anyone think this even worked, or did I waste my time? Even if I didn't dissolve/get rid of any stones, did I perhaps cleanse my liver of old fats and toxins?
I have just been a little scared of doing the full-on flush, and thought I'd try this first. But was it a waste?
Thanks for any input! |

I think that the slow liver flushing method only works if you break up the stones really well. You should take something like Gold Coin Grass if you want to use this method.
Carrot juice, lecithin, and nutritional yeast definitely cleanse the liver of old fats, so you did accomplish something.
What scares you about the overnight flush? |

| Ya, I agree...don't feel like you did it for nothing. You pretty much did a nice extended cleanse. I understand how it can be frustrating though. I've done a fair bit of bowel cleansing and have never seen a bit of mucoid plaque. |

Kaleidescope-
Thanks for your reply. Good to know it wasn't for naught. I think the overnight flush scares me just because of what people report regarding vomiting, feeling awful, etc. I guess it's not that I'm "scared", just don't want to feel all that yuckiness. In my opinion, I don't exhibit any signs of any problems at all. I am a REALLY healthy, happy, active 31 year old. Never get sick, tons of energy, no acne, no pain, no issues. So I guess since I feel really good, my motivation to do the overnight cleanse isn't really there. But at the same time, I know these things can accumulate over time, and it never hurts to get a jump start on your health! Hence why I've been such a follower of this web site and taken up A LOT of its advice! |

I can understand your being hesitant about doing a regular flush, especially considering you don't have any major reason for doing one! But it's great that you're interested in your health anyway. If my face weren't covered in acne, I'd still be living off of cereal and bread. LOL.
Anyway, I really think you should consider getting Gold Coin Grass. The reason I say it's so effective is that after taking it for only a few days, I was eating some ice cream (okay, I cheat on my diet sometimes!) and I felt and heard a rumbling on my right side under my ribcage, which is exactly where the liver is. It was like stones were moving out of my liver! (Some people actually use fruit and cream/ice cream for liver flushes, so it makes sense.) I had been consuming lots of apple cider vinegar prior to that, but only had that experience with GCG. |

Interesting, thanks for the advice. If I had known the gold coin grass was so effective prior to my starting the slow cleanse, I would have purchased it. However, the slow cleanse was pretty intense in terms of being dedicated to thoroughness. If I did it again w/ the gold coin grass, is there any part of the process that could be eliminated to make it a little less demanding?
Thanks! |

| The only things that are crucial are GCG, and the oil followed by the cleansing drink. |
