Hello everyone! I hope you all survived your July 4th excesses!
It's one hot summer, so remember to adjust your fluid intake and diet accordingly. Now is the perfect time for more raw foods, raw juices, and cooled peppermint teas. I like making sun tea with a couple different bags of tea - peppermint, licorice (for sweetness) and Green Tea Chai for a little spice.
Protect and beautify your hair by adding fresh oils and/or honey to your regular hair conditioner and leave it on all night.
There have been three donations since the last greetings post - thanks very much to our donating members! I'd list each one but the e-mail addys don't always match their member names here.
My life has taken a turn for the better recently. I've been working as a host at a restaurant chain, and they're making me a server, so I'll be getting tips - yippee! It's lots of fun interacting with so many different people each day. Since I'm supposed to be happy and smiley, it ends up lifting my mood because physically smiling will tell the body it's time to feel better, plus walking until your feet hurt brings on the endorphins - hoo-yeah!
And the major good news is I found a teaching job!!! I'll be teaching computer applications and programming this fall at a high school. Imagine that! I'll be able to write some terrific units on programming (the textbooks STINK) and empower young people to earn good money as soon as they graduate, or prepare them for higher education so they don't drop out as soon as their awful programming teacher gives them impossible tasks.
This should also give me enough money to self-publish, so I'll put the health book back on my list of things to do. It's amazing how much it costs to publish - simply registering the book so it has an ID number takes mucho dinero! sigh.
So I have tons and tons of things to do - my first priority is memorizing the food and drinks menu where I'm working so it's second nature - but I'm not dating currently so I have lots of time. (If you're ambitious for yourself and the world, just give up on romance heheheheh. Romance can wait another decade, I've had lots of fun there already ).
Keep those questions coming and KEEP READING! And requests for new forums are always welcome - I think we will have a forum just for acne, for instance.
Take care, all!

Best of luck with your new jobs Shelley, and with the book! Of course it'll be expensive to publish initially, but there are lots of us waiting to buy it so it'll be worth it in the end |

Well done Shelley I'm so glad to hear about all the new & exciting stuff in your life You deserve it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to help us all out here, you really are a complete star. Especially when you have so many other things asking for your time!
Can't wait for your book ... I was interested, what about getting a company to publish it for you? Do they just take all your profits?
Best wishes xx |

| Yep, and they probably wouldn't want to publish it since I'm not a doctor. |

I don't know a lot about publishing, but... have you seen this website?
http://www.authorhouse.com/
I think Andreas Moritz published his books that way. He's not a doctor either, but he's been very successful nevertheless. |

Hi Shelly: I just registered and read your post. Congratulations on your successes re: jobs. The teaching job sounds so exciting; Good Luck!! Your life sounds awfully busy right now, so don't forget to slow down and smell the flowers once in a while.
See you in the other forums.
