Woah so i just first noticed this board tonight, kinda crazy.

One of my basic problems is low self esteem, especially lately. I'd really like to have a great relationship with myself but it is broken, shattered by millions of negative thoughts. I was just curious as to your advise to overcome this, Would EFT be the best way. I have yet to try this but postive thinking or removing myself from the thoughts has not worked. Thanks, its getting more difficult for me to find where to turn lately. Your advise is always appreaciated.

EFT might work great for you, IF you can find a good practitioner. For people who cannot find a good practitioner or are strapped for cash, you really should check out MAP. Just 14.95 for the book and from then on it's freeeeeeee!

Now one of the issues you're dealing with is a carry over vow from a past life. Did you see my post on getting rid of Karma? You must must must do this! You were once an acetic, a monk or priest of some kind in a VERY severe order, and you totally bought into the "we're not worthy" aspect of formal religion. This is affecting you negatively now. It is also much of the cause of your money issues.

You also give a lot of credence to someone who got down on you a lot. That's a voice that you need to get out of your head. Don't give her any more power. She knew nothing about how beautiful you truly are!!!!!!!!!

Hugz! Smile

Hey thanks Shelley. I was actually the person who's post made you bring up the vows, but originally you didn't think I had any problems with that. I also renounced my vows then and redid it tonight. I've been more of a lurker on this site so I'm sure information about me is scarce. I have also been doing Map for the past month but I need to reread the book, it seems as if something is missing. You are very wise and intellectual. I think that maybe a little more about my very recent issues with my sexuality and confidence might help. I was raised in a Catholic family andwas very sheltered. My parents were not overly strict but I still felt trapped within their control. I was sexually repressed and when I got to college I just wanted to be normal. I made mistakes and was probably taken advantage of sometimes, not with sex but being flirty and then doing things other than sex that I may have thought i wanted but deep inside didn‘t. Ever since then I have had these wounds I created and tried to deal with them but not really successfully. Now more so they are started to be brought up again. I’m sure this all has to do with the past Karma. So right now I’m just trying to take one step at a time. One more thing, the very last paragraph, are you talking about someone in this lifetime or a previous?.

Love and peace, Erin

Hi Erin! Smile Hmm.. interesting... this time I got an image that just smacked of past-life influence.

the negative person I assumed was this life but it's tough to be sure from images. Smile

Be sure to read the part in the MAP book about Calibrations - I think it's there, or it might just be in the Garden workbook, not sure, I gave my copy away heh.

When you're dealing with issues that are more psychological than physical, doing a 30 minute Calibration session right before the MAP session is VERY helpful. You can ask your Team whether a Calibration is appropriate - explain what's going on and what you want to work on, and ask if you should just do MAP or do MAP/Calibration.

It also helps to take a piece of paper. Draw a line right down the center. On the left, write out all your beliefs about yourself and your life. See how many are negative. Re-write them on the OTHER side in a totally positive and affirming way. Here's an example:

I can't do anything right. | When I set a reasonable goal and make a good effort, I succeed famously!

No one loves me. | I am loving, welcome love and attract sympatico, loving people!

Then post the positive versions somewhere you see a lot, like a bulletin board or bathroom mirror.

Smile
