Hello everyone! Smile

A hearty welcome to our new members, we've gotten quite a few lately. If you're a long term member, please do take a moment to welcome the newbies when you can. Smile

Insects bothering you? Get Cintronella incense sticks from www.caycecures.com and keep pesky mosquitos out of your yard. They also have safe and sane insect repellent. The best cure for mosquito bites, tho, is avoiding sugar. Mosquitoes only bite the sweetest blood. Don't have sweet blood and they won't find you tasty!

Now that it's getting warmer, I've started making popsicles. I consider them a pretty safe and sane treat. I like to keep up my fluids, don't drink sodas, and get pretty tired of plain water all the time.

I bought a set of popsicle molds from Amazon - if you're interested let me know and I'll make a link in the Sources forum. I make limeade (I cheat and buy bottles of already squeezed lime juice) with Stevia and pour it in and presto! Lime popsicles, safe for candida and celiac and diabetic people even! I'll be experimenting with more decadent versions such as fudgsicles, creamsicles and Indian ice cream made out of condensed milk, cardamom and pistachios. Soon as I have a group of worthy recipes I'll post about them. For now I'm just experimenting with various citrus fruits. Smile

I'm feeling LOADS BETTER, thanks so much for asking those of you who did, but my work has changed so now I'm tired due to work! After working on the same kind of resources for teachers for a year, I was stuck in a rut and ready for a change. Well, beware what you wish for because I now have a huge project to work on. I have to create resources for Literature Circles, a wonderful way for students of all ages to simply read books and talk books and learn to love books without having to come up with the "right" answers, take boring quizzes, etc. It's self-directed learning, and I'm all for that! If you have any experience with literature circles, or great educational clip art, please let me know! Smile

This project will take a LOT of my time and MENTAL ENERGY. So please bear with me if I don't answer questions as timely as before. I have to pace myself. Used to be this forum was my only creative outlet while I recuperated physically, now I have several, including working on the Table of Contents for the manuals to help you manage your health yourself - safely, sanely, in balance, doing no harm and tons of good.

The next New Moon is July 1, great time to flush.

Big hug to all!

Smile

Oh dear
silly thing that I am, I missed this post the other day.
I sent you a message asking some of what you had answered here.

My gram used to make icecream when I was a girl
condensed milk and orange juice. It was a real treat when she made some.
I'm going to ask her what if anything else she put in it.
