Hi Shelley,

I got some free sample sachets of CalMagTropical I posted about the other day. The calcium in it is in the form of lactate, citrate, carbonate and glycerophosphate....very similar to calmagfizz. From what I've read these are good calcium sources....and I've read that it's best to avoid certain calcium supplements like dolomite and coral calcium as they (the coral one anyway) might be contaminated with mercury. Honestly I've got mercury on the brain at the moment lol! Shocked So is the calcium in CalMagTrop safe?

Also is 100 iu of sodium selenite OK?? I heard sod sel can be toxic.

Other ingredients are citric acid, pineapple, melon, kiwi, strawberry, mango, plus some sucrose and fructose but only 1gm of sugars in total for a serving so I'm assuming that's ok. I did have some carb cravings later on though Confused

Actually just adding something here, I did get a headache just after I took it which I think may be due to the vit B3 (as nicotinamide) which I'm usually sensitive to (due to overdosing on it a few years ago). There's only 9mg of it in there so if it was that do you think I may get used to it? Or could it be a detox reaction with the B3 pushing toxins out??

My concentration this morning is better than usual so I'm wondering if it's down to the B vits.

Thank you Smile
Anne

Yep, best kind of calcium there is. Smile

all the ingredients are totally fine. There's a lot of hard science backing up this product, so no worries!

The headache could have been a healing crisis, tough to say. You'll have to just keep taking it and see how you do. I'm betting healing crisis. Stick to half-scoops (half doses) for a couple days and you should be fine.

Thanks Shelley! Smile
Actually I've not been well today, really drowsy and feeling just generally toxic and overloaded with something. I know it's down to the calmagtropical as it's the only thing I did different. Maybe it was the citric acid? Isn't that a source of MSG?
Or maybe my body isn't clean enough yet to accept something so easily absorbable.

Nope, has nothing to do with MSG.

Feeling drowsy can be totally related to the calcium, yep, the rest of the effects to the healing crisis. Becasue you now have alkaline minerals in you, your body is going "whoo hoooo!" and flushing out all the evil toxic acids that have been waiting for their "ride."

Be sure to drink at least a liter of fluids, preferably as the Cleansing Drink, and this too shall pass. Smile

I was hoping you'd say that.....it makes sense. Yes I'll up the fluids to get rid of the evil acids lol!
Thanks again Shelley Smile
