My hubby found me an old rebounder in someone's garbage on the big trash day here Laughing I have been usiing it for about two weeks and my feet are starting to kill me Crying or Very sad My husband thinks it is b/c of the rebounder. Is this a possiability? I would hate to think that I would need to stop...I was really getting on a roll with it.

What kind of pain exactly are you experiencing? Is it a crampy pain or more like a bone pain? What exactly is hurting?

Be sure to only do 10 minutes maximum at a single time. It's much more effective to do 5 minutes 2x a day, or 10 minutes 2x a day, then to do 20 minutes all at once. The exercise is mostly to increase circulation, not to gain muscle mass.

It is a very cleansing exercise, and this too can cause foot discomfort due to a healing crisis. In that case it's really helpful to do a foot bath. Just get a bucket or foot bath and put in very hot water with about 1/2 cup of Epson salts. Soak for 20 minutes, then put on a pair of thin cotton socks, and then a pair of thick woolen socks - or something similar. Do this before you go to bed, leave the socks on all night, and you'll keep a detoxing energy flow going all night that will leave your feet feeling much better, and your throat/sinuses too! Smile

Its a achey, "been on my feet too long" feeling. I had wondered about it maybe being a healing crisis thing ( at least I was hoping, so I could keep on rebounding). I was told by someone who I consider to be quite knowledgeable about such things, that unless you get a certain type of rebounder, he called it a cellucizer ( or something similar sounding) you could do damage to your back due to your feet pronating during jumping. It didn't deter me from using my junky, found in the garbage one though Wink I figured it might hurt a little, but it will sure help ALOT! Well I guess I'll keep on keepin' on and see what happens.....

Try bounding more with your thighs/legs and not landing so hard on your feet. Just let your feet keep contact with the rebounder as you use your legs and upper body balance (rotate arms kind of thing) to actually get the bounce.

The foot bath is fantastic for achy feet, as is a good foot roller. I keep a simple wooden foot roller in the bathroom, bathroom visits are a great opportunity to use it. Smile

I think what probably did me in was that I really went all out! I mean I was jumpimg on one foot with my leg strectched out in front, then to the side then to the back. Then switch to the other foot... I trained aas a ballet dancer for 13 years and so I am used to being able to do a lot physically. Now though I am just not where I was then Laughing I am going to start slow and easy, even if it bores me to death Wink Its better than the excrutiating pain I was feeling in my feet...thatwas rough!

LOL! yeah, it can be very boring. Music helps. Or get a really small combo TV/VCR and watch your favorite show. Wink

With regard to the Epsom Salt foot baths, after the 20 minute soak, should you rinse your feet off first before putting the socks on? And, how many times per week do you recommend the foot baths? I'd like to increase my foot bath times, but don't want to overdo it.

Also, would it hinder the detox process to slather my feet in coconut oil after the bath and before putting the socks on and getting into bed? I like putting coconut oil on my feet occaisionally to help with this one nagging spot on my right foot that gets all fungal itchy when my feet sweat.

P.S. I bought a $30 rebounder (not a cellulizer) from a sports store and have not had any problems. And, I have scoliosis. Laughing So, the garbage can rebounder is probably fine.

You can rinse your feet, don't have to. The salt will keep yeast/molds from growing.

Coconut oil will keep the feet from breathing. They're supposed to sweat all night, oil will keep that from happening.
