I eat in the mornings HUGE amounts of green leaves like kale, greens spinach, etc. liquefied in blender with bananas, mango. I am planning slowly to move to raw eating.
In 7 days on a new moon day I am planning to do a liver flush. Should I change my diet, specifically the morning intake of green leaves for the coming 7 days? |

Hiya Fiddler! welcome to the forum.
Are you a Pitta dosha? Only a Pitta person does really well on a raw diet long-term. Raw diets are very hard on the digestive system and they make the entire body cold, so the body has to work extra hard to maintain the temperatures it needs to so that our organs can keep working and enzymes can keep firing. Having said that, I'm a big fan of juicing veggies. Freeing up the veggie goodness from all that fiber helps ensure that we get all the veggies we need.
But if you ARE a pitta person, dark leafy green juices will be great for you. Be sure to read up on Dosha so you can find out the balanced diet that suits YOU best, and don't just go by what the food faddists say, the ones who insist that everyone is the same and needs the same diet, when we know they are not and do not!
Bananas are not recommended on a liver-cleansing diet, neither are most tropical fruits as fructose is very hard on the liver. Again, these are things the raw food people will never tell you, but it's true! A good liver diet will only have one serving of fruit a day except for green apples, which are high in malic acid and so quite cleansing and highly recommended, altho here we tend to get those needs met with organic, unfiltered ACV.
The proper preparation for a liver flush includes plenty of stone dissolvers. You have to shrink those stones and de-clump them before you try to push them thru your tiny bile ducts. So please read about liver managemnet in the FAQ for more tips. And it's important to have clean and fast-moving bowels before you flush, and to have way to flush out all the toxins post-flush.
Lots of info in the FAQ etc. Happy reading! |

Thank you Shelly. It is nice to join your new forum.
I am Pitta, so I guess I can continue consuming mega doses of green leaves. No fruits while LF is OK with me.
I am taking ACV and malic acid pills 800mgx2/day for softening stones. It is going to be my 16th LF.
During 11-14 LF no stones came out, so befor LF-15 for the first time ever, I took GCG, Coptis and Carcuma for 2 weeks. Also I bought a very powerfull hand massager (Homedics) and with heat pad over my liver massaged it for about 30min/night for a week. Also, for about 15 minuts I massaged my liver (mostly over rib cage with the same hand massager) right after taking OO with grapefruit on the LF night.
Good number of stones came out next morning, dark green, from very little to 15mm sizes. All of them were kind of in "protectiv" shell and were not soft at all.
In my previous "productiv" LF's, all stones had no shell at all and were softer.
I did not see any results of breaking the stones by GCG.
My intuitin tells me, that the stones in my last LF got loose and came out (after previous non productiv 4 LF's with no stones), becouse of the hard massaging the liver.
I wonder, did the small stones come out from the liver and the larger from the gold bludder? The all look the same except the size.
Also, I think the Last LF stones with the "protective " shell were older stones, then the stones with no shell from the previous LF's. Would be nice to know opinion of others.
Thank you.

How very interesting! Yes, your conjectures all make sense and correspond with what I've heard/seen. I do think the smaller stones are the ones coming from the liver's bile ducts and the larger from the gallbladder. Now human fats don't ever get totally hard, but they can get very very waxy the older they get.
Have you adjusted your diet to prevent the formation of new stones? That is definitely something to look into. Choline and daily doses of good oils, for instance. |
