Ok, so I have tried three different saunas in the last month. First off
one of those saunas that you sit in with just your head sticiking out and
they pump steam and oxygen in......I felt like hell the next two days.
Then an IR sauna....I sweated less than the first one by half and then
felt only half as bad the next day.
But here is the kicker.........I tried a good ole cedar sauna at a swimming
pool last week . I sweated just about as much as the oxygen one and felt
fine.....in fact great ever since.
So what does that tell you about my health....or about saunas. |

well the third might have gone better simply because you'd already done so much cleansing!
The guidelines for a happy sauna experience include drinking a ton of water preferably as the cleansing or rehydrating drink and/or diasphoretic tea; taking an Emergen-C or something similar to ensure retaining electrolytes so you don't get a hangover; getting adequate salt; not exceeding your limits for heat.
Perhaps one of those factors was better off the third time around? |
