Shelley and others have been recommeding nutritional yeast - specifically KAL flakes. The closest thing available in the UK is (using froogle):

Solgar's Brewers yeast powder. It seems like a close-enough match.

Troy, I think brewer's yeast is unsuitable for candida people as it's a live yeast whereas nutritional yeast is inactive and OK.
I phoned Solgar a while ago and they confirmed this by advising me not to take their brewer's yeast powder if I have candida.
I think a lot of candida people become sensitive to live yeast.

I also did a search on froogle, what about that "Marigold Engevita Nutritional Yeast Flakes" that comes up? Does anyone know if thats any good? If it is it's only £1.99, imagine that healthy and not expensive! Must be too good to be true Wink ??

Forgot to put the link up, here it is:

Yes that's the only one you can get in the UK. It comes in an aluminium container though which some people may not mind but I'm avoiding alu as I'm not sure if some of it is absorbed by the yeast. So I've been looking for a different source.....can't find one though....even Planet Organic don't know of any other besides the Engevita one.
I know you can get Red Star nut yeast via the health shop at ebay.com but the shipping is too much to the UK.

that's a good point about the aluminum. It's not a huge issue until you actually open the can. Once there's oxygen in it, the yeast can absorb some of the aluminum. So you can buy it and then immediately put it in a glass container instead. Smile
