shelley,
I found a kinesolgist (im sorry I dont know the word) anyway she totally agrees with what you say about the body oils stimulating the vitamin a in my liver etc. she said my skin looked very dry and my lips (they are) she uses "standard process" have you heard of this company or used them? im so scared to take anything now but i have to try. she recommended the coffee enemas and ginger/epsom baths like you did as well.
she has given me a-f betafood, dermatrophin pmg and some antronex because i have a terrible terrible cold now, can hardly breath but am afraid to take anything.
anyway I looked on line and see that the betafood has vitamin a in it..shouldnt i stay away from this...and also is bovine liver really high in vitamin a? i know you say polar bear liver is. i want to totally stay away from vitamin a. please i really value your decisions.
thanks!

Hi there. I am not Shelley, but my Chiropractor swears by and sells Standard Process vitamins and supplements. They say they are made from "whole foods" and are easily absorbed into your system. I have been taking their Glucosamine Synergy and have noticed a difference, seems like my bones and joints dont crack as much.

I also was on Accutane, twice actually, and havent experienced the effects that you experienced, but I also took 1500-3000 mg of MSM for almost a year, so maybe that help rid my liver of the vitamin A. My hair is just naturally thin, but I have been applying a mixture of EV Coconut Oil, Emu oil and Castor oil to my scalp (very lightly) and have been seeing great results. Maybe Shelley can let you know if that would help. Please dont take my advice on anything, we can let the pro advise you.

I sincerely hope things get better for you Pharaoh.

Hi Pharoah,
Sorry you are suffering through the terrible cold.
Shelley is away from home on an education conference. Her access to the internet is very limited at the momment, but she should be back online soon.

I personally haven't tried any of that line of product so I can't give you much input on them.

I know you are very fearful of trying to many new product things in case of reaction. If you go to the FAQ area and look into Ailments Shelley has posted a bunch on good little tips for cold and flu. Read through them and do what you feel comfortable with.
I have found a steam with thyme in it seems to help me with chest congestion in the past.

Take care

Hiya Pharoah!

If the new "vitamins" are plant-based rather than synthetic, then they should have beta-carotene rather than vitamin A, which is th safest way to get it. If you test strong with them, I say give it a try! Small doses to start.

It's a common practice to take dessicated liver when the liver has been injured. It just seems to help! You're situation is so strange I'd hestitate to say anything was okay for you without at least testing wtih kinesiology, and even then I'd recommend cycling them slowly into your diet, like one new thing every 3 days and monitor your reactions. Easy does it! Smile
