If I make my congee, and cant eat it after right when it is ready, will it still have the same benefits if I reheat it later?

I've never done that but I would have thought so. Keep it in the fridge once it's cooled and then reheat it when you need it in a pan. Though having said that, can you reheat rice?? I'm not sure Confused

hmm good question,
I think you can certainly reheat it, but what way would be best?.
You don't want to microwave it (lol)
ut just warm it slowly.
If you heat it on the stove top you could warm it up slowly in a good pan, or you could use a steamer. I often wrap things in cheese cloth, or cabbage leaves and steam them to reheat. This would protect the moisture content.
Let us know what you do and how it turns out.

rice and beans are just about the only foods that keep well as leftovers. Smile
