Hi Shelley, i'm so glad i have found you again Since I last spoke to you on curezone, i have found out through stool testing that i have parasties and not candida. I have been taking strong antiparasite herbs from my doctor and also taking ultraprobioplex from metagenics (australia), i have recently added the sandra carbot fibretone. My doctor said to wait before liverherbs but then to start taking them, i have waited so might take livertone plus. Is it ok to fast whilst doing all this or should i be having some food?
cheers and all the best

Hiya Caper! I'm so glad you found me! Spread the word please if you get a chance, I've hardly e-mailed ANYone oh dear oh dear!
I'm so happy you found a more accurate diagnosis, cuz' now the path to vitality is much much shorter! And you're lucky to have found a practitioner who sells Metagenics, those products are awesome. I wish I could market them but I think they still just sell to licensed professionals?
ANYway...
You can fast while taking liver herbs and other herbs, so long as you are doing SOMEthing to help the liver -and paths of elimination - to exit toxins. There are some toxins, which you'll be dredging out with the herbs, that must be released with bile. If the bile has nothing to attach to, it simply gets re-digested and heads right back to the liver. Olive oil and butter/ghee forces the liver to give up bile, then fiber, coffee enemas, carrot juice, will exit it pronto.
So you see how a total water fast might not be such a good idea? But a partial fast of liver-friendly foods and the occasional bit of fat to flush the liver would be fantastic. A good fast for your needs right now would be one that includes the Cleansing Carrot Salad (eat one cup for 7 days and the liver will be well cleansed), and/or carrot soup with the Cleansing Drink, or carrot juice with a bit of oil with a fiber shake, that kind of thing.
Kichadi would work also and of course any kind of broth or digestive tea.
Let me know if you have more questions! |

thanks shelley, for all that info, i just love having you here again, i can't tell you.
can i mix the carrot juice with beets, apples etc. also i started the parasite herbs about 6 weeks ago and i have to keep taking them for another 6 then stop for 2 and do another stool test. my doctor said it could take months before they are gone. I have blastocystis hominis 3+ and dientamoeba frageles 2+. I find sometimes that i have an itchy bottom, is this because they are trying to get out or could this be a sign of candida. I asked my doctor about candida and she said the test for candida was very good and if nothing showed up it would mean it was unlikely i have it. i also rang the pathology and they said they try to culture the stool for a week so they were certain i didn't have it either. basically i'm eating more fruit and i hope that isn't aggravating anything.
enough rambling. i have been a bit naughty on my diet over the christmas period and only just started being strict again over the last couple of days. i will do the kidachi because i really love that!
cheers caper |

sure, you can mix the carrot juice with beets and such. One of my favorite cleansing veggie juice drinks is mainly carrot, with 1/2 a beet (more would be TOO cleansing), a bit of fresh ginger root, a green apple and handful of parsley. It helps EVERYthing.
Itchy anus can be due to parasites, but it can also be due to low stomach acid. I tend to get it after taking a large dose of calcium carbonate because that acts like TUMS, neutralizing stomach acids. So pay attention to when you get the symptom and see if you can find a pattern. If it's totally random or just late at night chances are it's the parasites. Very loose stools will also cause itching and burning because the bile hasn't been completely neutralized. |
