Well spotted Anne

As long as it's not the same people that supply Coconut Island here in the uk. I purchased some VCO from them and it tasted like soap. It was distgusting!!!

I then purchased another brand an it was great - you could taste the coconuts. I use it for everything - on my hair, skin as a sun oil, and eat it every day.

Yes this sounds great, especially if it is saves money.
I'm in for it

Hi Suzie,
I haven't heard from the person who posted that message....unless they are waiting till they have a lot of people.
Someone told me that the oil from www.coconutoil-line.com is very pure and tasty so I ordered some from there. They send out free samples too but I ordered 3lbs which is 1.5 litres and it cost $44 in total including $9 shipping.....they fit it into a flat envelope so the shipping is cheap Smile
The same person told me that he has tried stuff from TT and WFN and it was very rancid so maybe they supply Coconut Island?
Haven't got the oil yet so will let you know how it tastes etc.!

Hi Anne

Funnily enough, my good vco was from www.coconut-oil-uk.com which is coconut connections in solihull. (Supplied from the Phillipeans)

It is now just over £14 for 440ml tub with free delivery. This seems more expensive than your shipment from the US $53 inc shipping One thing that I worry about now is the customs duty as I also purchased 3 packs of de-tox footpads from the US and paid about half as much again in customs tax. The footpads cost approx £50 so I thought it was well under the tax threshold.

I wait to hear from you re your vco purchase.

Hi Suzie,

I noticed I gave you the wrong address....it's www.coconutoil-online.com (missed out the 'on').

On their website they say....
"A note to customers in the U.K.: According to my limited research, goods imported into the U.K which have a value of 18 United Kingdom Pounds or less (excluding postage, etc.) are exempt from duty and VAT. At the current exchange rate a 3-lb pack of oil would be exempt since the value would be less than 18 U.K. Pounds. Multiple packs should also be exempt since the value of each would be less than 18 U.K. Pounds."

So I'll be really annoyed if I have to pay import duty!! Evil or Very Mad

Hi Suzie Smile

Forgot to get back to you about the coconut oil, this site is so busy now it's hard to keep up!

I got my oil last week.....I did have to pay import vat (not import duty) which was £3.33 and also £4 Royal Mail Clearance Fee!!!! Never heard of that before! Anyway, so £7.33 in total extra which isn't too bad I suppose. So the total cost of everything was about £33 ($44 for the oil and shipping which is about £25ish and the extra £7.33)

I think £33 isn't too bad. I usually pay about £10 for a tub from Higher Nature which works out slightly cheaper with 3 tubs (the same weight as the stuff from coconut oil online).

I think the oil from coc online though is much nicer and more potent. It has a coconutty taste gave me a headache when I first tasted it so I assume it's a better quality. The headaches have stopped now!

I suppose you could avoid paying the import vat if you order 2lbs of oil instead of 3 which is what I ordered, so it will come to less than the £18 with shipping.
Confusing or what?!!!

Anne
