| oo that's a good idea. I have no idea whether it would work, but it's worth trying. You can also try wax paper, that would be slicker and I think it's still safe. |

Hiya Shelley!
I just had this fantastic idea! When my b/f buys me a dehydrator, I'm going to take one of those round trays to the glass cutting shop and ask them to make me a very thin piece of glass that would cover one of the trays. I guess I could ask them to drill a few tiny holes for ventilation too.
What d'ya think? Surely glass must be the safest? |

| yeah, but it will be too heavy and won't let air circulate good enough, and do you want your kids peeling off a thin layer of fruit from a sheet of glass? or you even? The edges stay pretty sharp. |

yeah, and they are so easy! My naturopathic doctor swears by raisin and sunflower seed cookies. You just chop them up in equal parts together in a food processer, make little cookie shapes and dehyrdate overnight. Very yummy, lots of good nutrients.  |
