What foods are known to be good for the brain and memory?

Im going to start revising very soon as I have exams coming up so I was wondering if any foods are particularly effective?

Ah, fun question.

Anything that cleanses and oxygenates the blood enhances brain function, so cleansing the liver and aerobic exercise will definitely raise your IQ. The Cleansing Drink with cayenne does all that. See the list of blood purifiers in the FAQ and start drinking burdock root tea - no side effects to take you away from your studies.

Herbs and supplements that work directly on the brain and nervous system to strengthen it are:

Gotu Kola - very calming, good aid to focus
Gingko Biloba - increases circulation in the brain itself, enhances retention
L-Glutathione - an anti-oxidant amino acid, enhances brain function overall
Pregnenolone - best memory enhancer known so far.

The last two supplements can be purchased in one great product here:

I took this while I was working on my graduate program project which required a working piece of software in three months.

I've now got 3 of these, just waiting for Pregnenolone to come in the post.
Solgar Gotu Kola Capsules
Biofore Ginkgo Bioba
Solgar L-Glutathione 50mg Capsules

When would you recommend on taking them? Together? Different parts of the day?

those can all be taken together. herbs do best synergistically. If you have something to aid their digestion, like Trikatu or ACV or a Cleansing Drink, take it with that and that will speed up their effect. Smile
