Shelley,

I have started infrared sauna sessions to help with my lymph, since I can't even sweat from a detox bath!!!! LOL!

I did two saunas since Tuesday. This AM I woke up with a period and the most awful cramping. I am 55 and haven't had but one period in the last three years!!! Yikes! I didn't miss this at all!!

Is this possible a detox sympton? What is good for the cramps?

Also, when I use the sauna, I then go home and shower. What if I need to make some stops.....and I don't shower for a couple of hours. Is that leaving toxins on my skin for too long?

Thank you for your help!

It could be a detox symptom, but I don't like the sound of that at all. That's way intense! Could be your organs are reacting to the IR's way of heating them up. Sometimes the IR heat goes right to the organs rather than the skin, and our organs have a very narrow range of temperature that they like to be at. Anything beyond that is not good for them.

Stretching, walking and castor oil packs are helpful for menstrual cramps, as are certain nutrients like calcium and magnesium.

It is best to shower afterwards, but it's tough to say what a delay would mean.

I purchased a series of the saunas (after I tried the first one). I still have 5 to go. Should I go in at a lower temp? Or for less time?

Currently I am going at 125 and I started to sweat at 35 mins; I stayed for 45 minutes. The second one I started to sweat at 30 mins and I stayed for 40 minutes.

If I go in for 30 minutes and I just start to sweat at that point, I am not doing much good, am I?

We actually start sweating long before there's enough to notice it. So don't worry about that! And you'll start sweating sooner and sooner the mroe you go.

I'd lower the temp - about 115 degrees? - and stay in no longer than 30 minutes.

Thank you. I will go for 30 minutes at 115.

I am still bleeding from the period. It is heavy; not at all like when I used to have periods. I also did a liver flush this Friday night. It was #6 and is a VERY successful one.

It is 2pm on Sunday and I think the last of the stones exited about 1/2 hour ago. The bleeding is slightly less from my period. I am scheduled for another sauna session tomorrow AM. Do you think I should I go or should I delay it for a day or two because of all the detoxing I am completing today?

Blessings,

Dianna

I think you're okay to go IF you have properly hydrated and taken in some good electrolyte minerals. I would power up on some Emergen-C or similar before going, but it's great to sweat about 3 days after a liver flush, definitely! Smile

Great. I will take some Emergen C and I am drinking a lot of water today.
And I am feeling much better today than yesterday. Those liver flushes, especially if successful, are very draining!

Thank you!
