I spoke to the famous & wonderful Julia Chang (sensible health) today. She told me something interesting about how to determine if you need a kidney cleanse. What you do is watch your urine flow (that's a noun).
Men can do this easily. For women she says put up the toilet seat and squat to pee -- and look.
If your urine is a strong single stream, you're fine. If you spray (so have more than one stream) you need a cleanse. And of course, if the flow comes in spurts, you need a cleanse.
I was thinking: just look at it the same way as you would any water faucet. You know it's past time to clean the calcified minerals out if the water flow isn't a strong, single stream. (Don't think filters!)

Yep, that's very true and I hope I included it in the FAQ on kidney management. I'll have to check and make sure! |

I ordered the kidney cleanse kit from Dr. Clark. Does this work well? |

| yeah, too well! it's very very strong. I wouldn't do that cleanse unless I had stones. Start out with half the recommended dose, it's usually way too strong for women. |

Shelley,
For a while now when I pee I have to kind of push it out hard and it goes in spurts. It feels like I could always pee more but I'm not able to, does that mean I should kidney cleanse? If so can I do it the same time I'm colon, parasite, liver cleansing too?
Thanks |

Yep, definitely. Kidneys should come before liver cleansing if you have symptoms, so stop liver cleansing, but keep up the others. They won't interfere and will help ultimately.
Do mild kidney management - the Cleansing Drink 2x a day, the Alternate Cleansing Drink with cranberry juice 2x a day, kidney diet (low-protein, non-dairy, no synthetic vitamins), and some of the milder kidney herbs: uva ursi, parsley tea, marshmallow or slippery elm. You can simply get a tincture of uva ursi and add it to parsley tea or to the cleansing drinks. Just one dropperful twice a day for 3-5 days should do ya' fine. |

Hey, smooth, it's the same thing. The "ropes" sound exactly like what Julia was talking about (separate streams, right?).

Hi Smooth,
I don't seem to retain water. From what I read at the sensible health site that seems to do with excess estrogen, something that can be helped with liver cleansing and avoiding foods/herbs that make estorgen.
I didn't really have dark circles under my eyes. Rather I had inverse bags. But since my last liver cleanse (my eighth) this is looking a whole lot better.
