Hi Shelley,
I have been suffering from estrogen dominance, congested liver, candida, slight heavy metal toxicity and hair loss for some time now. ND's prescribe all kinds of vitamin and detox concoctions that I can barely keep up with. I am now interested in trying infrared sauna's to assist with the detox of metals and also clean out any junk that may be lingering in my fatty tissue, etc. Is this a good idea, if my immune system is a little sluggish? Also I had maxifacial surgery apprx. 10 years ago...titanium was used to secure my upper and lower jaws... would the sauna be harmful to the dental work?
BTW: have you heard of collodial silver increasing hair loss?
Thanks for your response, as always your the best! |

Hiya Dyemund!
I just recently posted on a safe and slow metals detox, which is now in the FAQ under Cleansing I think. I'm not a huge fan of IR saunas, I've rarely heard of them working out well for people. Usually they get heated up without really sweating, and that can cause lots of problems. The heat goes right to the internal organs rather than the skin. Not good. Internal organs have a very narrow margin/range of temperature with which they are comfortable.
Sweating is essential, moist types like my detox bath are usually better for that.
Haven't heard of colloidal silver increasing hair loss, but sudden changes to metabolism, which can happen during any kind of detoxing, will bring on a shed. And of course it's still a metal, and any overdose of metals will bring on hair loss. So it could be you have a bad brand of it. |
