Here are some products besides Emergen-C that will help out your electrolytes. Electrolytes are just like what they sound - they increase the body's electric potential. Without them, we're a car without a battery - we just can't get started!

When people talk about pH balance they're really talking about Electrolytes. Electrolytes are what decides whether we are mostly acid or alkaline and whether we have the nutrients the body needs to have the ideal blood and cellular pH balance. We do not have stores of electrolytes apart from bone, so it's essential that we get them from our diet.

In addition to Electrolytes are trace minerals, also not stored by the body. We only need minute amounts of these minerals, but when we lack them it messes up everything from protein synthesis (creation of tissues, hormones, and immune response) to mental faculties.

CellFood is a liquid supplement of good trace minerals that are stolen from water by filtering out the baddies. It also releases oxygen into the water. It's expensive unless you buy in bulk.

Cellfood 3 Bottles

This product is basically Emergen-C in a pill without the Vitamin C. So if the C in Emergen-C has been giving you trouble (diarrhea) but you still want your electrolytes, this product will help you out. By the same manufacturer too. High in potassium, it's especially effective for those of you who don't have time to make the potassium broth. Wink

Hi Shelley

I was wondering, sometimes or lately I have been getting this tingling feeling through my fingers and feet and then a feeling of migraine, could this be electrolytes or magensium. I've done magensium before but stopped because I thought you couldn't take it all the time. I have colloidal minerals that I don't take but can or should i do something else?

cheers caper

Shelley:

Does the CELLFOOD make the water more alkaline like another product called AlkaLife Drops???? There are just so many products out there, it is confusing.

Also I have seen CELLFOOD on eBay for very good prices.

Hi Caper! Hi Jan! Smile

Yep, tingling hands feet and then migraine is all about electrolytes. So work on your levels of calcium and magnesium. If you were taking these as supplement you may have been taking too much. If you weren't, start taking them! Smile People with low iron, iodine, E, are particularly susceptible to the hands/feet thing when their electrolytes get wonky. It's like too much of a bad thing, the body cannot compensate.

Yep, CellFood helps the body become more alkaline just like AlkaLife etc. Smile

Shelley:

I had some minor tingling in the hands and my doctor, a kinisiologist in NYC put me on B12 lozenges and it took away the problem.

I guess there are many ways to deal with this????

Thank you for all of your input. You are really great!!!!

I also wanted to add that I bought my AlkaLife Drops on eBay and for a very good price for 3 bottles.

Jan Very Happy

oh yeah B12 goes without saying practically - any time there is any kind of neurological issues, you have to supplement B12, preferably as a shot, and see what happens.

I wouldn't, the proportions of minerals are all wonky.

Colloidal minerals are, for the most part, a huge risk because researchers have found that many times they are either contaminated with bad metals or have tons of unsafe additives to keep the minerals from sinking to the bottom of the bottle. So I try to get most of my minerals from plants, molasses, maple syrup, with occasional supplementation of chelated minerals and ascorbates.

Nope. Calcium and magnesium are electrolytes, but not all of them. It's missing a few important ones like chromium.

Hi Shelley was curious if you have heard of Sam Biser and what you felt about him. The guy swares he is going to reveal the truth in mid july. I just don't get this guy why is he so down on minerals? lol He says..

He talks about the healers who recommend pots of potassium broth, lots of vegetables, blessed vegetables. He talks about the mineral potassium , and how minerals are medications even if they come from zucchini. He says lots of potassium drives their body down the wrong freeway not out of town away from disease, but into the center-city of more weakness, more illness. If you wish to look more www.sambiser.com

oh lordy... I don't appreciate anyone who uses that kind of marketing technique. if you have the answers, share them. Don't ask people to pay for something sight unseen, with no testimonials, just because you say you're smarter than everyone else. Sheesh.

He is making a valid point that anything with the power to heal has the power to harm, but I have to wonder who he's been talking to that "every healer denies this fact." I certainly don't deny it. I always caution people about self-dosing, especially herbs and even vitamins and super-foods. Some of the readers are catching on, they won't buy herbal tinctures from people who don't list the ingredients. that's a good start. Smile

But it really irks me that people like the "barefoot herbalist" manage to sell dangerous, poisonous anti-parasite herbs whilst hiding their real identity. He goes by MH, Master Herbalist, and Barefoot herbalist, but he never shares his real name, and yet people buy from him. Scary. There's a whistle-blower on CureZone who knows his real name and knows he hides it because he's been investigated by the FDA thanks to putting someone in the hospital, but even the owner of CureZone wouldn't listen. It's one of the reasons why I left.
