Hi Shelley

HAve been reading a lot of info on above and a lot of the symptoms
are a carbon copy of myself

In particular, a product called HGH (human growth hormone) seems to help. There is a website called Genf20 you can look at

Has anyone you know tried this or is this another gimick???
I have now been tired for months. Get 9-10 hrs sleep and still wake up
tired. All blood work is good, not anemic, thyroid ok, iron good so I continue to look to see what I can find

Any thoughts???

I find Ashwagandha to be really good for adrenal fatigue. Shelley usually recommends gota kola and licorice.

HGH is pretty much a gimmick. Most of those selling it don't have a good delivery system, so the body thinks it's just another protein and breaks it down like it does all proteins.

Ashwaganda, gotu kola and licorice root cannot be beat when it comes to the adrenals, especially when combined with Bieler Broth. Metagenics has an adrenal supplement, but it is really just extracts from these herbs, which are easy enough to find as pills.

Licorice root should not be taken until you're done cleansing, as it is a sweet nutritive herb that can clog you. It is also estrogenic so any estrogen issues need to be balanced before large amounts can be taken. You should also supplement calcium and potassium when you take it. Aside from that, it's an awesome herb, part of Amrit, an ancient Ayurvedic tonic much like jam but black due to the licorice. Tasty and quite rejuvenating. A great way to recover from cleansing. Both ashwaganda and gotu kola are safe to take while cleansing.

In the past, I used a Liquid (drops) homeopathic ADRENAL booster which helped.

Well what is good or safe for the adrenals when one hasn't cleansed?

Besides alot of people are simply too weak to cleanse. They need to build back other organs to deal with the deblitatin of cleansing.

Hi grapefruit did you cleanse before you used it?

Also, how long did it take before it kicked in and how noticable are the symptoms you had decreased?

Curios was thinking of trying it.

Hi -
NO, I did not cleanse...
I tried that a long time ago & it did not seem to have any positive effect for me.

Yep. I hear that. If I even start to try to cleanse my body just folds. I have heard of so many other's that have said the same. I even think it's slightly dangerous depending on the persons weakend condition at the time...

Glad things have worked out for you though. Very Happy

Hi -
I just wanted to add to this post what I have tried recently (after reading Shelley's info on ADAPTOGENIC herbs)

I am now using a product by Y.S. Organic Bee Farms -
POSITIVE ENERGY

contains:
Royal Jelly
Bee Pollen Propilis
Eleuthero
American Ginseng
Korean Ginseng
Ahwaganda
Astragalus
Fo_Ti
Gotu Kola
Suma
Spirulina
Chlorella
Ginger & Licorice

I just bought it on a hunch...I take 2 in the a.m.
It is sort of expensive $14/35 capsules - but I'd rahter spend on this than pharmaceuticals..
It helps my negative attitude in general.

It contains some of the ADAPTOGENICS which Shelley mentioned. -
I can never remember what they all are...
I am 48 yrs old & believe I have Adrenal Fatigue. - or some perimenapausal depression:(

Late 2004 I had such severe adrenal collapse I was hospitalized and then sent home ‘to die’ as the doctors could not work out why I was fading away. I was suffering severe Candida and wheat/gluten intolerance.

The main scare was the adrenal collapse and it was crucial to get the right support for my adrenals to be able to survive. I was put on a very large dose of Spirulina for over a month and used Cortico (Metagenics) http://www.metagenics.com/wt/page/patient_catalog/125

I still grab a bottle now and then as I know it picks me up very quickly when I am run down. I know Shelley will be able to shed more light on this product, but I can only share my experience with you in hope to you will also find god health and energy.

Blessings 2 u.

I myself was waiting 'to die' when the idiot regular doctors not only couldn't help me, but hurt me further by trying to do allergy shots and antibiotics on me. I was given Cytozyme AD by a practitioner who works exclusively with Andy Cutler (mercury poisoning guy) as well as upping my intake of Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5). Estrogenic herbs such as licorice root are not an option for me as I have estrogen issues. The Cytozme and B5 did wonders for me. I still keep Cytozyme on hand and use it right now while I'm slowly cleansing my system and going through therapy, both major drags on the adrenal system.

Metagenics is the best way to go for most supplements if you can afford them and find a practitioner that sells them. They have a great research lab and really study up on how things work before they go to market.

Standard Processes is the best I've ever come across, every natural healthcare practioner has said ownderful things about it. My cousin who is a naturapath uses it extensively and has wonderful results, sent my friend to him when she was sick with mono and shes bouncing around now. Quantum Herbal Products also makes a great tincture for Adrenal Support amongst others, its made near where I live.

OH yes, both of my natural vet books mention standard process. They have a fine reputation.
