Okay, is everyone as shocked as me that it's already March???

Of course, I'm still waiting for signs of spring. It's been very wet and windy here in sunny California. The sunny days are extra sweet, air extra clear and clean, and the mountains in the distance have snow-topped peaks. Lovely.

If you shop at Trader Joe's, you must try their new lentil soup. It's very similar to my kichadi! It comes in a single-serving pouch that you can boil or microwave. A great timesaver.

I'm sending out query letters for my novel. It's a nerve-wracking process but so it goes. Rejection doesn't bother me so much as not knowing. The wait. I should just start the next novel or finish the candida book. Always lots to do, never enough time!

Hope everyone's doing well. Be sure to get out and about when the sun shines!

A big hug to all,
Shelley

Dear Shelley,

I ran across your website and the info on it appears to be legitimate, however as I peruse the site, I can't find a thing about who the actual people are who are giving this medical/health advice, where I can go to ask a question (except here), and where I can obtain specific info in order to feel good or safe about following any of this advice. I know NO doctor can assure anything on a website, however the public needs this basic info even to discern the importance or legitimacy of this advice. Please tell us who the board of experts are, and where we can get more info on your site.

Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you!
PS I do have a question concerning betonite clay. In one area, you said probably best not to use it as a cleansing agent as you might absorb aluminum, but in another area you said you liked Dr. Schultz's Int. Formula #2, which has this exact clay in it. Which do you stand behind?

Hi PMwoodward,

This site, along with many others offers information that YOU, the person seeking information outside of a doctor's advice will determine whether or not to proceed with any of the suggestions given here or elsewhere.

As you said, NO doctor will guarantee you anything nor can anyone giving advice, mainstream or not. If you are looking for options then there are numerous sites, this one, in my humble opinion, has offered me the best suggestions of any. But, again, it is up to the person asking for the help to decide how or if they want to proceed.

The concept of healing is clearly stated on the home page. This is a no-pay site like many others I have posted on. After six years of being sick, 42 doctors, it was this site along with my reading of books and other info that helped me get well. 42 doctors, thousands of dollars...they had all their degrees posted, lotta good it did me. Ultimately, people decide what is best. Research, read and decide for yourself, nobody will promise anything, anywhere.

I am so very grateful for this site, it has helped not only myself but my friends and family. Everyone decides what they want or don't want to do whether it be advice from a MD, ND, TCM, Naturopath, etc. I didn't listen to more than half of what the doctors told me to do and it is a darn good thing or I would have been worse off.

Just like anything in life, you take the information you seek out and make the decision for yourself what you deem best from whoever you are asking.

Health and Happiness

Hello PMwoodward! Due to the way this site is managed, I cannot update information in the FAQ. Consequently, I'm unable to correct certain things, which is why people need to keep reading the forums where the most current info is. If I say don't do bentonite clay, then obviously that means that any product with bentonite clay is also a no-no.

Bentonite clay was essential for early man who never ate processed foods, never got essential metals in their diet. Today we get way too much aluminum so cleansing/tonifying with aluminum is detrimental.

I have a post about my particular background, areas of expertise, and the first pages of the forum clearly state which schools of thought and protocols I've researched thoroughly. I'm just one of those people who like to put 2 and 2 together and get 4, and don't like so-called "experts" who tell you it's 5 or 3. My advice comes from first-hand experience. Your results may vary. And that's all anyone can say. I am simply freer to tell the truth because I am not tied to any credentials that force "experts" to lie in order to sell pills for pharmeceuticals or margarine for the lubricators who saw their industry collapse and said, hey, why don't we sell it as food? heh.

I am simply very anti-ideology. I deal in what works based on hard science and ancient wisdom when it's not pure superstition.

Smile
