My TCM acupunturist told me today that the reason I feel like crap is becuase I have very very slow digestion and my intestines are suffering. What can I eat that is good for digestion? I am a vegan, so I dont eat meat or fish. He said that sweet brown rice is good to eat. He also said that raw fruits and veggies are not good for me until I get my digestion up to par. What else do you think I could eat. I am going to have steamed brown rice and veggies for dinner. What else is good for digestion?
I became a raw food eater for a month and that seemed to only make things worse, but oriental medicine is amazing....my doctor could tell me exactly how I was feeling just from my pulse (which is wayyy low- I think it was 54 today), blood pressure, tongue, and face! amazing I tell ya....I hope this works!
Love the new site
Thanks Shelley!

Hiya Jackie!
I am not a big fan of raw foods either apart from certain salads and veggie juices for sick people with weak digestion. This site is all about raising digestive power, because it is the cure for 90% of degenerative diseases.
The best food you can eat at this point is Kichadi, a mung bean and basmati rice dish that is prepared with pungent herbs and spices. Recipe in the FAQ. All of the recipes in the FAQ are designed to be easy to digest and to put very little load on our major organs. Also good are fermented veggies, especially cabbage like saerkraut, kim chee and cortido. Best to make your own. Recipes in the Kitchen forum. Cabbage juice, once fermented, turns into a lactic acid that is tremendously healing to the small intestine and requires very little digestion. It also adds plenty of new enzymes to your system.
Read the FAQ, starting with Vital Health Management, to learn more about the power of digestion. Tongue diagnoses is also there.
I don't recommend Vegan diets because they are ultimately, in the long run, very detrimental to vital health. Most vegans die by the age of 60 (all pure vegetarian cultures live a shorter time-span than cultures with a wider variety of foods). I am constantly helping people who were on vegan diets and stopped menstruating and became infertile, or worse, had a child with birth defects. So if you're keeping to a Vegan diet purely for nutritional reasons, please reconsider. The body never lies. If you were on the right diet, you'd be feeling great.
If you're keeping to it for spiritual reasons, then be sure to mitigate the negative effects of the diet as much as you can, such as getting B12 shots monthly.
Hope that helps! |
