Hi
Shelley,

I was wondering if you could shed some light on a problem I'm having.

I've noticed through trial and error that my skin improves dramatically ( breakouts gone, less red) when I have either melon or mango.
Is it because they help purify the skin and cleanse the kidneys?
The cleansing drink also seems to be helping with breakouts on the upper cheek and under the eye area (which is the main area for my breakouts).

My forehead has very few, very small spots which says more liver cleansing!!
Despite the liver cleansing I still have yellow eyes with quite a few red capillaries, and
dark circles, plus my skin is still kinda oily……..though less than before.

I was thinking was the improvement because my kidneys were being cleansed by the melon and cleansing drinks which helped out my liver a bit?

I’m still doing the candida diet because my tongue is still coated but slowly improving ( been on it for like 14 months… though in January this year I restarted…no rice milk and started rotating my foods). So I can’t really have melon. I only had it because I was juicing and heard that the rind was good for the skin….so I ate the melon anyway and juiced the rind!

The week when my skin looked better I had some choc cake (dads birthday….couldn’t get out of it!!) yet I didn’t break out at all.

I’m currently on colonix and have done quite a bit of colon cleansing before already.( Fiber shakes, enemas, laxatives, etc)
Did the slow liver cleanse for 2/3 months back in febuaray…taking in 2 bottles of bupleruem, lecithin, carrot salad, carrot juice, ACV, 1 Bottle of Gold Coin Grass, Chinese Bitters, occasional fat buster smoothie, etc.
Which hasn’t done that much…the lecithin 3x a day helped more than anything else

Should I do more liver cleansing? Because I was thinking of doing a coffee enema…but was concerned as it may overburden my kidneys.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks as always.

I don't recommend coffee enemas at all. The caffeine does get absorbed and this exhausts the adrenals. Best to just use lightly salted water.

Melons do cleanse the kidneys, but more importantly they are a terrific sources of crucial minerals: potassium, magnesium, calcium, C, and even B6 depending on which melons you ate exactly. All of these are needed in high amounts when cleansing because without them you can't exit the toxins you're releasing.

When you don't exit the toxins fast enough they sit around in the blood and lymph and try to exit via the skin, but the molecules are too large and so you get hives and acne.

So you need to drink more and flush the bowels more than you are currently, take C occasionally, and possibly Vitamin A (cod liver oil), and Nutritional Yeast Flakes.

Yellow eyes means the bile in the liver is not flowing freely, possibly due to Gilbert's Syndrome, which is thinner bile ducts or blocked bile ducts. I'd keep doing the slow liver cleanse with lots of stone dissolvers and a major flush (my protocol, not Clark's) every 3 weeks.

And since the lecithin is helping, you can boost that up by taking a Choline supplement for a week. Choline prevents the formation of gallstones and is a part of lecithin.

Thanks for the advice....

I forgot to add...when is the best time to take a fiber shake? I've been having my colonix when I wake up and then eat about 1.5 hours later.

I've noticed my undigested breakfast in the next days bowel movements. Could this be due to the fiber or my digestive power?

I have about 2-3 bowel movements a day...wouldn't this be fast enough to remove toxins in the body?

I've done the stomach acid test...and found I still didn't get a burning sensation when I took the max dose. Since then I've started taking acv before my meals ( along with usual enzyme) and I have no liquids within 1 Hour each way of eating.
Should I see a doc about my stomach acid?.......I'll prob redo the test soon...and see how it goes. Power of digestion weak = acne.....gotta boost it some more.

Thanks

That's an okay time for fiber shakes, they're easier to pass if you're up and about. But it will tend to take down your fluids and stomach acids if you don't properly hydrate it first. It's best to let the shake sit for at least 15 minutes and see if you're really giving it enough water.

What are you eating for breakfast? Some things, like corn and other seeds, never truly break down.

Your body will reduce stomach acids if you are:
low in carbonates. You can take Tri-salts or Baking Soda, one flat teaspoon, once a day apart from meals for 3 days if you suspect this is the case.
Low in B vits and good Salts. About one-third of the population needs lots of salt. Then they try to follow the norm of avoiding salt and digestion shuts down. NYF for the B vits, Bieler Broth for the salts.

If you have a lot of whiteheads, take Taurine and Lecithin in addition to the NYF. Lots of times what's happening is your body's fats aren't viscous enough, liquid enough, digested enough. So they congeal and clog things up. This is often totally due to nutritional deficiencies, lack of bile and digestive enzymes, and completely avoidable. Sometimes hormones play a large role (teen acne) but even that can be managed via minerals and digestive power.

hi shelley,

Thanks for the info. I was wondering apart from fiber shakes, enemas, SWF and dry skin brushing what other ways are there to remove these toxins from the body?

Also, how important is dry skin brushing in removing toxins?

Did my first liver flush last week...got a few stones out. Not at all scary as I pictured it to be. Skin looked good for a few days...but started to break out after a week. I don't think I got the toxins out fast enough.

One last thing, how often can bieler broth be consumed?

Thanks

Keep reading the FAQ. Herbal teas and tinctures are good (burdock root is especially wonderful), fresh-squeezed veggie juices, anything that makes you sweat or increases circulation.

Lots of people get good results from oil swishing, detox baths, foot baths, foot pads, castor oil packs. For more intense anti-oxidant cleansing you can do 50 mgs of ALA (alpha lipoic acid) every four hours around the clock for 3 days.

Skin brushing is very important because it stimulates the nervous system. Nothing happens without the nervous system. It's like cheap and painless acupuncture. It doesn't seem like it's doing very much, but trust me, it does.

Figure on doing at least 4 flushes this time around. There are four lobes to the liver and only one at a time gets flushed during even a major flush.

Bieler Broth is safe to consume almost every day. Some people might not want all that potassium all the time, some people might not need that much organic salts, you have to find out for yourself what your body type is like. People vary greatly, remember! Whenever they say "people should do this or that" they're really only talking about maybe a third of the general population. But it should take a very long time before you risk becoming allergic.

Hi shelley,

Just a update...I've noticed that when I dont drink much water that I get small breakouts underneath my eyes.>>> Dehydration I'm guessing looking at the faq.
Noticed that after a few plane journeys lasting 10 hours each way that I had breakouts after the flight that were not there at the beggining!

Also, after a recent cake and candy session (on holiday) I seem to get lots of breakouts near the mouth....looking at other posts it seems I have a acid/alkaline imbalance...Again pointing at the kidneys.

This would therefore explain why my skin SOMETIMES looks better after eating melons..not always though.

Recently did my first detox bath with baking soda...and after it I got 2 rather large hard breakouts..one underneath the eyes and one between. Cleansing reaction?

Despite drinking more water and doing 1-2 cleansing drinks or rehydrating drinks a day (not strict with this) and avoiding caffiene and all other drinks I still get breakouts and my urine in the morning is quite a deep frothy yellow.

Should I do some sort of kidney flush...eat more alkaline food? More rehydrating/cleansing drinks?......Seems like I;m very acidic....also my knee joints crack quite a bit.
Have been taking calmag and emergen c without any real improvement.
Your advice would be appreciated.

Aman.
ps getting ready for my fourth ever liver flush tonight (mon evening) my fourth in 4 months.

Breakouts near the mouth means you have used up all your carb minerals. Read up on Skin Food, that'll help prevent it. It's usually B vitamins especially. And consider taking GTF Chromium or chelated chromium occasionally, especially if your joints crack a lot or get dislocated easily. It might also be a good idea to add some acids to your meals to increase stomach power.

Cleansing reaction, yepperz!
