Hi Shelly and All,
I am kind of desparate, my man just told me he doesn't want to have kids with me because of my health problems, he thinks I won't be able to cope with kids, because I can't cope with myself health wise, and this will all make his life miserable... He has given up on me ever getting better, having seen the effort I put into getting well, with little results. But I cannot give up. The day I give up is the day I die.
I have done 28 liver flushes (I think), most of them in the last year and a half, the rest over the last 11 years. Still getting stones out, the biggest at the moment are 1.6cms (a little bigger than kidney beans).
I still have constant GB pain and GB attacks sometimes more than three times a week, or even every day for a few days occassionally. They are severe, but not as severe as they were before flushing and a good yoga teacher came along. I used to get seriously suicidal with the pain, which mega doses of morphine would do nothing for.
I produce almost no growth hormone (lowest doc has ever seen), thyroid hormone and adrenals are insuffficient too. I can gain 4 kgs in a day or so without changing diet (obviously fluid). I am losing more and more hair each year and it is dry and fuzzy. I have pretty bad fibromyalgia because of all the hormonal stuff. Constant pain again! I have cellulite and jelly thighs even when I am slim. Memory problems...blah blah blah all that goes with low thyroid etc..
I am obviously tired, but have will of steel, so I tend to overdo it a lot and push myself when I shouldn't. I am also a very highly strung vata type personality and body according to an Ayurvedic therapist, yet I gain weight so easily and can only seem to lose weight when I fast, don't exercise, and am taking loads of endocrine drugs!!
Yes exercise such as rollerblading which I love, makes me gain weight, not muscle weight, I fill up with fluid and look much much fatter than normal.
I am deperate for answers... even though I have probably tried most of what's out there. The pain is not only ruining my present, but possibly my future family!
Any new perspectives on this? Having read all of Shelly's great info, I feel drawn to the idea of gentle liver cleansing. I have been on GCG for about a month now and just started ACV and lecithin.
Any ideas REALLY appreciated!!
Thank You!

I have just read Shelly's great answer to the lady with hormonal problems who posted beneath me and I thought I should say.
I can't eat any protein, it gives me GB attacks.
To avoid pain my diet is about 70% zucchinis as they are one of the only foods that don't cause me pain. I eat them twice a day with lots of olive oil, some sea salt and lecithin.
I realize this is a pathetic excuse for a diet to live on, but I have been reduced to this after years of cleansing and raw foods (which are no good for me), and more pain than I can bare.
I can drink apple juice which helps with the pain, as long as I mix it with ACV, otherwise it burns me.
I am strict vegetarian, not vegan, but I don't eat eggs, just a little yoghurt occassionally.
Thanks again! |

Well, you're definitely in no kind of shape to get pregnant, but that could change! If you're producing that many stones then you're simply not getting enough choline in your diet. Add Lecithin to your regimen and that will help tremendously. So should ginger and peppermint tea. Keep reading the posts adn FAQ and you'll get better! Just keep working it! |

Thank you so much Shelly, I am very grateful for your insight. Choline may be the very key to this puzzle!
Thank you thank you thank you!!
I will report on my results. |

| Oh yes I meant to also mention that you may want to consider having Julia's Gold Coin Grass tincture at the ready - just one tablespoon really does stop gallbladder pain in its tracks. So much better than taking silly things like tums or nexium! Many people don't realize that their tummy ache is really liver/gallbladder ache! |

Hi Shelley! I have a question about this actually (taking GCG to stop a gallbladder attack). This is something that I also have thought about, and would make sense. But the couple of times I have been having an attack and went for the cupboard for GCG (or even thought about it), the memory of how horrible it tastes makes my nausea even worse.
I have actually thrown up a couple of times during an attack. And I feel SURE that if I took GCG during a nauseous attack that it would just come right back up.
Is there another form of GCG that I can take that I can actually get down?? I've given up on Julia's. Even though I can feel it working, the last time I took it I literally gagged and nearly didn't get it down. It really is awful and I have a sensitive sense of taste anyway, I used to gag all the time as a child!
Let me know if you think like a pill form would help. I even though about putting the tincture in some plastic pill capsules and swallowing them that way...anything to avoid the taste!
Right now, my "go-to" solutions for an attack are first, a swig or two of Coke (for the Phosphoric Acid), which usually reduces tension/pain within 5 minutes (though may have tightening momentarily due to the coldness), and if that doesn't work, then I take a Magnesium pill and wait it out, usually takes 15-20 minues. I heard that Cal-Mag Fizz came out with a new product that is just Mag-Fizz and thought about getting that, since it seems that liquid form takes effect much sooner than pill form.
Thanks!

Magnesium is excellent for gallbladder attacks. If you're sure that that's what's going on, then either pills of magnesium OR Epson Salts (half a teaspoon in a medium glass of water) taken on an empty stomach, followed by stretching and abdominal massage, plus massage of the feet (use a golf ball) will help tremendously.
You also have the option of drinking a very small oil/juice cocktail as a kind of minor flush to get things moving. Usually you get sick because something is sticking where it shouldn't and moving it past that is all you need to do.
