Hi Shelley,
I've done two weeks of good work to prepare for my first flush and I'm looking forward to trying this. I'm planning to do this tomorrow evening.
I just wanted to confirm a few things I've read.
I'm planning to do the major flush as you suggest but will use the magnesium instead of salt.
Tomorrow I'll eat mostly steamed veggies and broths, peppermint and ginger tea, prior to 5 p.m. and no food after. I'll skip all vitamins and herbs tomorrow as well. (Also, not take any acidophilus )
Since I'm battling candida as well is it contra-indicated to take the peppermint candies for nauseous
The next morning I'm now planning to do a salt water flush followed by using my colema board. Would that be too much? I've had issues with slow transit times so that's why I want to do a thorough flush.
I read it says to eat a high fiber breakfast. Okay to have something like sauteed apples and cinnamon? Is it necessary to do the P&B shakes if I do at least 3 enemas the following week?
Looking forward to a successful first flush
Thanks,
Janie |

Right, don't take acidophlus that day.
That's okay, peppermint candies won't set you back too much candida-wise. Better to have them than not have them.
You could do both, but I would just use the colema board, especially if you take a lot of magnesium.
If you have a fiber-based meal, you don't really have to supplement fiber shakes again that day. You just need enough to ensure that the small intestine gets scrubbed clean of the flush. Apples and cinnamon should be fine.
Good luck! |

Hi Shelley,
I got through it!!! I'm calling it a success b/c I did use my colema board right away upon waking and I was able to expel quite a few pea sized bright green waxy balls. Not an overabundance but enough to feel like it worked. I used the board again the next day and still released some chafe and a few more green "peas". I did have some cramping and discomfort but mostly due to the bowels and colon I believe. Now going through it I think I've figured out how to make some improvements to make the next one even smoother.
So I'll do another one in two weeks. So basically I take a week off from the lecithin and malic acid is that correct? Okay to keep going with the carrot cleansing salad for the whole time, keep up the EFA's too? How about taurine do you think I need to add that back in at all? I'm on the Livatone Plus at 2 capsules a.m. and p.m.
Well hopefully I'm one step closer to better health.
You're a tremendous person for all you do!
Cheers,
Janie |

that's fantastic! Congrats on a very successful flush.
Yep, take a break from the lecithin, you're calcium deficient so you shouldn't take a lot of the high-phosphorus stuff. But you can keep taking the malic acid no problem, just take it with meals. Definitely keep eating the cleansing carrot salad. Taurine is optional, about 500 mg a couple times should be all you need for a couple weeks, then if you stay off dairy take it at least once a week.
Yep, I can see the scoliosis in the picture you sent me. I've seen worse! But the coat doesn't look bad, it's just the color yellow that shouldn't be there really. Definitely liver issues.
Glad to hear you're doing better!

Yes, I really think I'm getting it. My head has nearly spun off from the amount I've learned in the last month
I did some reading on the high phosphorous foods and am trying to cut back on those. Because I'm dealing with the candida too I'm trying to make sure I stay within my limits. I was doing the protein shake with almond milk and was eating almond butter during the day. I was also "OD"ing on avocados. So all that is getting cut back...I'm not doing the protein shake at all any more. I think it was really too rich for me too.
All is in better balance with the exception of the non-smelling gas. It always starts after lunch and I pass it maybe 5 or 6 times. Then the same happens after dinner. My appetite is improving and I'm beginning to feel hungry at times. More often though I still feel nauseous even though I should be ready to eat after 5 or 6 hours. Would you think all this will improve as I keep liver cleansing? I'm taking digestive enzymes with each meal and 2-4 HCL with my protein meals. Last night I had burning in my chest after the 4 HCL so I went down to 3 today. No burning but still gas....I'm not eating any beans or raw veggies of any kind (except cleansing carrot salad and avocado). I know I'm feeding the yeast and it's driving me nuts.
So I'll keep plodding along but if you can think of a recommendation on that I'd love to hear it.
All the best,
Janie |

It should all improve with repeated flushes. In the meantime, keep things spicy and take all foods with a spoonful or two of kefir.
Are you getting your B vitamins? healthy salts? |

Got it...kefir with meals.
Nope I think I missed the B's b/c I was thinking they were in the Livatone Plus. I'm betting you'd suggest the NYF right? 1 T. per day? Or is another way recommended. I missed the healthy salts part. What do you recommend there are the best salts and how?
For the first time in a while tonight I've been having muscle tightness in my legs. Too little potassium possibly? |

Guess it helps when I read the faq's or my old posts first...
I think I'm seeing my own problem with the muscle cramps. I haven't been getting much salt (sea salt or kosher) at all. In fact I'm not doing anything but adding 1 tab of kelp in per day. I'll work on that. I also haven't added any potassium. The last few days I've had higher protein so I think my balance must be off.
Also start working on the B vitamins and see what happens. |
