Hey there Shelley,
I had my first Acupuncture treatment today. It was pretty neat; towards the end I started to drift off like I was falling asleep and I felt really relaxed afterwards. Anyway, my question is about the muscle testing he did. Apparently I am allergic (or deficient) to many things. I still have a hard time believing muscle testing only because I can't see how it would be accurate to push with the same strength each time. Aside from that though, the things I tested positive to are chicken, egg, tetracycline, calcium mix, vitamin C mix, B-complex, sugar mix, iron mix, vitamin A mix, mineral mix, salt mix, chlorides, corn mix, grain mix, artificial sweeteners, milk mix, cheese mix, yeast mix, chocolate mix, coffee mix and caffeine, beef mix, pork mix, pollen mix, grass mix, tree mix, mold mix, weed mix, perfume mix, dust mix, and cat. I asked the lady at the front desk if I should avoid these things and she said no but if I get symptoms after eating or being exposed to them than I should. She said that a lot of times the good things you are allergic to usually means you are really deficient in them. The acupuncturist said that I have low energy and circulation (because of my constant cold hands and feet) and adrenal exhaustion. He recommeded that I stop breastfeeding, that my body can't keep going on like this. I do plan to start weaning. I sort of feel like there is nothing I can eat that isn't going to set me off. I've been trying to follow the Candida protocol but I am nowhere near consistent so I don't feel much better. I'm still quite foggy and mentally absent. Anyway, I just wanted to see if maybe you had any thoughts about my allergy list and what I should do.

That's a rediculously long list! What are you supposd to eat??? Geez!
I'd ignore it. Replenish your minerals, do some stretching/yoga to keep your spine supple and nervous system firing, and you'll start coming up in energy. Get some MSM, tin, manganese, zinc and iron to start. Just safe and sane amounts please, no megadosing. |

Thanks Shelley! That's how I felt too......what the heck can I eat! I'll just continue to do things that support my body and hopefully I'll start feeling like myself again.
By the way, do you know anything about NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques)? I have not read over the brochure yet, but the Acupuncturist gave it to me to read. It's supposed to eliminate allergies permanently. |

I do believe you can eliminate most food allergies with a little persistance. I'm not sure about pollens, although if you can get the right honey you can even cure that one.
Mostly, you have to have a very limited, clean, non-sugar diet for awhile. I think many allergies are simply sugar diseases and nutrient deficiencies. So stay clean, let your body "reset" itself, and re-introduce one new thing a week and see how you do. Chances are you'll do fine, especially if you take enzymes with the meal. |
