Hi Shelley, there may be not be a problem, but I`d like to hear that in here.

I have no allergies, no digestion problms, no acne, no fatigue, nothing out of the ordinary.

Diet is healthier than average, little to no fast food, very limited processed food. also, Im not overweight at all.

My tongue seems to be coated towards the back. I have heard towards the back is normal, but I look at my wife and my kids` tongues and they have no coating at all, no matter how far back I look. I have asked at the dentist and they had no reaction as well, but like I said, when I look at others, they have no coating at all.

The only thing I can think of, symptom wise, is that my lips seemed a bit chapped and I have maybe a bit of a dry mouth, I do drink sufficient amount of water throughout the day though.

If a pic is needed of the tongue, I will post.

Thanks for any help

A pic would be nice, yeppers. Smile

If everything's coming out okay at the 'other end,' I wouldn't worry too much about a back-coating. It could be you need a little bit more pungency in your diet, a little less dairy, but if you're completely asymptomatic, it might not be worth it to tinker.

Do you know what your blood type is, and whether you're getting a good ratio of Omega 3's to Omega 6's? Or if you're getting enough EFAs or Vitamin A? Sometimes dry mouth and chapped lips speak to a deficiency of the fat-soluble vitamins, A, D, E, or just EFAs (linoleic acid, etc.) in general.

thx Shelley, I need to get a dig camera and a computer all ready then.

I am bllod type 0 positive.
Consequently, have you heard of tonsil stones, or know of any treatment assuming it is not a myth.

thx shelley

tonsil stones happen all the time. Any place that fluids and particularly mucus can collect can turn into what we call a stone. The sinuses have boogers, throat canals have stones, intestines have placque, livers have liver stones, etc.

Any time chemical reactions can get messed up because of too much of one thing or too little of something else, fats can congeal, white blood cells can congeal, skin can shed, clog things up and cause infection.

Blood type O is very prone to this type of thing. We require very simple, wholesome diets, and tend to pay more than other people when we abuse sugar and carbs, phony foods. It's a major pain.

thx Shelley, I am trying the product therabreath which seems to have an effect on that. there is specific mention of tonsil stones. Also, there is mention of having thick mucus or not enough saliva, and even post nasal drip. I am more and more convinced that this applies to me, and that there is nothing else going on in the body.

Like I mentioned in the original post, I do not exhibit any other symptoms that would suggest anything else, but I do try and limit simple sugars and various forms of simple wheat. I feel healthier and more energetic when I eat fruits veggies and even meat, but like you said wholesome. I tend to avoid processed foods. ( oh and I avoid dairy much more than I used to )

Thanks for your help. I will post again soon with therabreath results after some time, I think some of your readers may find it helpful, and maybe applies to them as well.

You silly, bad breath is a symptom so you're not symptom free. Bad breath is caused by an inner body that is like a trash can. Your proteins are putrefying and rotting instead of digesting. Cleanse your alimentary canal, do the stomach acid self-test, take some B vits for a couple weeks, go on a juice/broth/tea fast, etc.

by taking Therabreath, you're doing the worst possible thing - masking a symptom instead of curing it. It's like having a muddy floor and spraying it with Chanel Number 5 because you're too lazy to mop it.

It's under the first part of the FAQ, VHMsystem.

Why are you taking it then?

well, I thought I may have had tonsil stones which I don`t know for sure. I did feel a slight annoyance when swallowing on one side. Not the kind when you are getting sick though, more like therewas something there, so I don;t know if it`s a small swelling or maybe a tonsil stone, what I do know is that gargling warm salt water helped a little, so as I was researching tonsil stones on the internet, therabreath came up, and then I started to see other reasons for taking it, like dry mouth, white coating on back of tongue, but only on the back, so I figured why not give it a try.

But I value your opinion and fequent here often for a resource. I am 37, male, 143 pounds, 5`8. type 0 positive blood. I have had no problems with digestion ever which makes me think the stomach acid thing is not an issue. I am quite active and eat a ton of fruits and vegetables. I am no vegetarian though. I do concume alcohol, not daily though, do not eat dairy like I used to, ( but will have cheese or butter sometimes, just not milk daily )and don`t have too much food made with refined wheat.

For example, I no longer have cereal with milk for breakfast.
I`ll eat fruit and maybe some kamut rice cake or spelt rice cake with almond butter, seems extreme I know, but I like it, keeps my weight in check too.

So, I think I may have a small imbalance somewhere, but I can`t seem to figure out what. It`s mostly the dry mouth feeling, like as if all that water I am drinking is not being absorbed by the body. I do drink coffee in the morning sometimes even 2 cups, which i know can have a dehydrating effect, but I brush to get rid of that terrible after taste, and then drink water continuously throughout the day, but I feel like my mouth is dry, and then of coarse I do worry that that could cause bad breath because I know dry mouth usually does cause bad breath.

Ahh, gotcha. Sounds like you're simply having a problem with deficiencies, probably A and Zinc. It's very easy to get deficient in A once you cut out dairy products and don't eat liver or fish once in awhile. So either get some cod liver oil or start eating carrots nearly every day and take 50 mg chelated zinc for two weeks and see if that helps.

Are you adding any EFA's to your diet? Extremely essential!

essential fatty acids. Lecithin has a lot, eggs do too, but you usually need to do more than that, such as coconut oil, Udo's Choice, etc. Omega 3 fatty acids, linoleic acid, all very important.

the "transitional" part does look a little strange, but there's no predicting the back of the tongue. The very back always does have those bumps and a coat, everyone I've checked - and I've checked a lot of people. (it's dangerous to invite me to a party LOL!)

the front part is actually looking pretty good. I expect to see a bit of a mess just from the cleansing. The texture around the center line doesn't thrill me, how stiff is your back, or how sore are your intestines? Can you bend backwards, turn all the way to each side, etc?

I can turn and bend, yes quite flexible. I run quite a bit, and also a big skier. no discomfort anywhere, and definately no digestion issues. Although I take my time when I go BM. It`s never quite quick like some people.

So, should I still try the zinc, vitamin A, and EFA ?
