Hey Shelley dear!
I have been taking Julia changs GCG and coptis for 2-3 weeks. The only thing that I have noticed is that I am so very very constipated right now! I've read somewhere that coptis can cause this? I want to cleanse my liver but I cant live with this constipation, it is painful. Can I skip coptis and cleanse with bitters and GCG instead?
Oh, by the way, are you suppose to get any healing crisis from taking milk thistle.? I seem to tolerate it very well (no pain in the liver) but I havent noticed anything while taking it, I have taken it for over a month. Should I increase the dosage? |

Yep, you can, no problem.
Julia suggests that you take GCG in the mornings and CB in the evening, or JUST GCG for about 10 days and then just CB and whatever else you wish to take. Either way, it's a good idea to up the dosage until you get a reaction, and keep upping it as the reactions subside. If you're totally comfortable whilst cleansing, you need to up the dosage until you're still within your comfort zone, but not completely comfortable. You shouldn't feel liver pain so much as healing crisis type reactions like headaches, crying, mucus, which the Cleansing Drink and Cal-Mag Fizz helps to alleviate. |
