there is a page on this website that talks about healing leaky gut and one of the factors it refers to is to have a job that is not deadline driven. and i believe it says that if you are a gentle person you should find a job that suits you.
what kind of jobs are good for gentle people? massage therapist? school teacher? |

hi ... I am also a sensitive, gentle person, and so are my kids...and i can testify to the truth of this statement, that jobs with deadlines, and pressure, are no place for me! I get all nervous, my stomach and intestines begin to whack out, and churn, and I get lightheaded. Two of my three sons have the same problem. They are very gentle people. Thank you for posting this, this is sorely needed!!!!
sincerely, Starlight |

My experience is that the attitude of your boss, your coworkers, and the company in general (if applicable) are more of an influence on stress levels than the type of work itself. Also important is whether their style of working will mesh with yours.
Every job has deadlines, to me what's more important is how people work together (or don't, as the case may be!) to meet those deadlines.
It's an important thing to be mindful of in interviews.
P.S. My mom's a teacher, and I don't think she would agree that it is a low-pressure job. |
