I have tried using coconut oil several times in the past, but everytime I take it in any quantity I get a migraine (classic migraine with aura). I googled "coconut oil migraine" and actually found a lot of people for whom VCO ALLEVIATES migraines!!

I wonder if it is the nut part of it (choc has given me migraines in the past) or something to do with electrolytes.

I really love the effects of the stuff and wondered if there could be some way to counteract the side-effects.

I must say this, too. I tried a new brand this time, Nutiva, and it tastes so much better than the brand I used in the past (can't remember what). I've always heard people talk about how yummy it is and I didn't like it. This stuff is delicious. Makes me wonder if what I was eating was rancid Crying or Very sad and whether that could have had something to do with the migraines, too.

I took a tablespoon of VCO yesterday morning and started feeling that pre-migraine tingly feeling. So I took a shot of ACV and it went away! I wonder what is in the VCO that unbalances my electrolytes?

Whenever I use coconut in any form, I get almighty aches all over, so bad it feels like arthiritis or something, and I can hardly move. It took me a while to work out what was causing it, but its def. coconut.

It's very easy for coconut oil to go rancid, yep. Definitely judge by the taste. It should taste good, or at least clean.

As with any headache, it's tough to figure out whether the headache is a good thing or a bad thing after taking a new supplement. I think with coconut oil it's mostly a good thing, a healing crisis, due to really dried-out lymph nodes. People who take lots of lecithin before trying coconut oil tend to not react as much, especially if they've been rebounding and dry-brushing.

But some people's genetics just don't like coconut oil, it's too foreign.

If you're allergic to nuts in general then you will probably react to all things coconut too.

If you get a classic migraine with the warning aura, then it's due to the middle nodes of the liver being too congested or otherwise weakened so that your manganese or iron levels or even estrogen levels are too high. All you have to do to right it is take Milk Thistle for several days whenever headaches threaten, or 3 days outside of every month. If iron is too high (pain mostly on left) take zinc or magnesium. If manganese is too high (right-side pain) take calcium and C. Just one or two doses is often all you need to stop a painful migraine. Everyone susceptible to migrains should have these supplements on hand all the time.

Smile
