Hi again Shelley,

I hope all is well in your world!

I'm about to have my annual blood tests done and don't want to miss anything.

Last year I had a CBC, Complete Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel, Vitamin D Panel and Vitamin B12.

I will have my thryoid panel done (currently taking T3) this time.

I am also about to send off my hair sample for analysis. I am anxious to see those results.

Any other tests you'd suggest having done while I'm at it?

Thanks a million!

As far as I can tell, you're anemic but I don't think the other high/low readings are anything to worry about. Some of the white blood cells and immune functions will increase when iron is too low. What about SED did they do that? Can't rule on rheumatism without the rest of the inflammation test results.

So get your iron levels up, get your red blood cells up, and check again and see if your other high/low readings have normalized.

Definitely increase your B vits too, take the RDA of folic acid at the very least.

Lipase will test high if you're supplementing enzymes.

Nope, not that I know of ... I'll inquire and thanks so much for taking the time Shelley Smile
When u say anemic is this the same thing as Iron deficient ??

I eat lambsmeat and turkey 2-3x per week ... lots of greens ... don't know what else to do to get my Iron up ??
I've also taken Floradix for a few months and do take a tbsp of blackstrap molasses on a regular basis ... sigh ...

I take 1 tbsp of NYF every few days with food ... is this enough ??

Indeed, I use enzymes on a regular basis yes ... u sure know everything !!! Wink

I bought a bottle of chelated Zinc 50mg ... can I take half of it let's say twice per week ??
Is it best to take on an empty stomach or w/ food ??

I also bought a bottle of Chromium; but it's NOT piccolate; it says that it comes from yeast ... is this OK ??

Thanks so much, I feel so safe coming to u ... most doctors don't know much unfortunately Sad

A great heartfelt Thank-u Smile Hugs

Iron-deficient anemia, yes. It doesn't look like you have any cause other than diet, which is a good thing, becuz diet is totally under your control. Poultry is not that rich in usable iron. Most people who have trouble getting enough iron have to supplement, you can't do it by diet alone or you would be okay now. So find the Now brand of iron, it is mixed with gentle laxatives. Iron always constipates, always. Very annoying.

You can take 50 mg of chelated zinc every-other day for a couple weeks no problem just to get up to speed, and then go down to once or twice a week for awhile. The rule for minerals is to take them with a meal that has fats in it. Don't lie down for 2 hours afterwrads.

Chromium can be any form unless you're trying to alleviate blood sugar woes, then it really has to be GTF chromium. Any other issue or general imbalance, regular chromium or piccolinate are fine.

When you're trying to build up your blood, one tablespoon of NYF will do you better if you take it near-daily. LIke take the weekends off. Just do this for about one week then go back to what you're currently doing so you don't OD. Take just the RDA of folic acid, or less, in addition to the NYF or sometimes only on the days you dno't take the NYF. Taking too much folic acid always makes my tongue burn, it's not a good one to megadose.

Goodmorning Shelley,
I've been taking my zinc with a fatty meal that consists of manna bread with almond butter and a tablespoon of molasses;
it's delcious !!
Afterwards, I also take a tablespoon of lecithin ... I hope it's ok to take lecithin with zinc?
I wanna make sure that I absorb them both and that they do NOT cancel one another out Smile
Do u approve ??
Thank-u Smile Very Happy
Hugs
