I am sure the subject matter got your attention eh? *chuckles*

When you suffer from any illness (especially Candida) you do not feel much like having sex, and after some time you can even get used to no sex.

What are some good natural foods and herbs that will assist someone’s sex drive to increase?

Do men require different foods from women for sexual potency?

As sex can use a lot of energy, would that be bad for a recovering sufferer of Candida and/or Chronic Fatigue?

After sex can a drink or supplement (electrolytes?) help to keep energy stores level etc?

Sex causes most people to sweat, so, would it be correct to say that sex is good for the lymphatic system?

Any other information we should know about sex and health?

I find that my libido increases relative to the amount of raw eggs I am eating. Usually about two raw eggs a day does it for me. It doesn't make me crazy or anything, but sex is much more enjoyable. Very interesting!

The best way to regulate sexual drive (and a healthy sexual drive is part of vital health) is to increase circulation, decrease ama and to clear up the energy in the root chakra by making sure the lower colon and rectum are clean. It's amazing what a good colonic will do for sexual responsiveness! Smile

And of course we have to be properly cleansed and nourished, as sexual organs are often the first to be "let go" by the body. They are often the first place the body will dump toxins and ignore when there aren't enough nutrients to go around. So any good, nourishing food is good for sex.

Another important thing to do is to maintain muscle tone by doing Kegle exercises.

Sexual exercise is a fantastic way to sweat, a great cure for headaches and other minor pains Wink and when done right, good cardiovascular exercise. When cleansing it's best to abstain if you're on a low-calorie diet, but when rebuilding - go for it. Ayurvedic/Hindu philosophy says a woman should have frequent and regular orgasms and massages of her vaginal walls in order to be vitally healthy, but a man should limit ejaculations because he releases vital spinal fluids along with the semen. There's a pressure point a man can use on his perineum - press with two fingers, hard, the "million dollar point" and he can learn to experience orgasm without actually ejaculating - and last all night too! Wink

When clogged up chakras cause a reduction in libido, this breathing exercise will open them back up, and teach you to breathe with your entire abdomen:

Lie flat on your back, comfortably in bed. Raise your legs so feet are on the bed, knees up, comfortably.

Put your left hand your lower abdomen and right hand on your solar plexus.

Inhale slowly and deeply, imagining the air coming thru the center of your body. Make sure your left hand raises before your right hand.

Exhale slowly and completely, making sure your right hand lowers before your left hand.

Do this for ten minutes, then follow with kegles.

Once you get your breathing right, all you have to do is cross your legs, breathe, think about it, do a couple Kegles and you'll have the automatic spasms of orgasm that eventually do lead to a very real and full vaginal/body orgasm. Long plane rides will never be boring again. Wink

since i began eating a 100% raw foods diet, libido drifted for me. its a very strange feeling. maybe it was the lack of protein? and also the loss of body muscle that came with this? i think reincorporating eggs back into the diet has helped a little bit, but still am aching to have some sort of grain like quinoa. but my body isnt really up to par to make me feel confident about introducing another 'variable' like a grain into the picture.

eating nothing but lots of fruit and vegetables, definately felt 'clean', and made my skin get better every single day, but also left me feeling very light and a bit spacey and distracted at times, longing for more substatial 'heavy' food that i would attribute to a certain 'groundedness', from where one might draw a sense of sexual desire.

jules - I totally relate to what you've just said!

The more I add fruit/salad/raw stuff to my diet, the less sexual I feel. At the same time, I feel better in myself when I eat less animal protein, more connected .. and definately better skin.

Your body is never wrong, never lies, so LISTEN TO IT. If you feel too light and spacey, have some ballast/heavier type foods! Quinoa actually does not qualify as a ballast, as it is the very lightest grain there is. Practially air. If I were you, I'd eat some Kichadi.

BALANCE IS KEY. EXTREMISM IS INSANE.
