Hellooo Shelley! Very Happy

I hope all is well where you are, I know the weather has been whacky throughout the country.

Two questions, please.

A friend is trying the Budwig method of eating cottage cheese and flax oil and she feels great, there is nothing wrong with her but she is always looking to improve her diet.

I would like to try this as well, I eat cottage cheese but, anytime I ate flax or tried the oil, I didn't do well. I may have a problem with the hormonal effects of flax. According to my friend, the composition changes when you mix the cottage cheese and flax, is that true or is there another oil to try that would work?

I want to start to work out again, easy into it but my muscles are sore when I work out and at times, when I have stress and don't work out.

Is there something I can take, minerals of some kind, to help the muscle soreness and the recovery? I noticed when I do some exercises, the next day, the muscle seems loose and not tight, the opposite of how you would think it should be.

The EFAs that I am taking are the low A Cod Liver Oil and eating avacado a few times a week.

Thank you, Shelly! Smile

Hi Lisa! Smile

I heartily endorse the Budwig method of mixing flax seed oil with cottage cheese, but the only real change to the oil that you get from that is it doesn't go rancid as fast. It's still highly estrogenic, and people under 50 who still need to avoid estrogenic foods should use Udo's Choice instead of pure flax oil. It's still estrogenic but not as much.

It's GOOD that your muscles still feel loose after a workout. Muscle tissues are meant to be long and relaxed, not short and tight. Strength has nothing to do with tightness and everything to do with flexibility, so keep it up! To recover from workouts faster, drink the Cleansing Drink to flush out the acids that make muscles sore, or take a bath with a cup or two of vinegar added to it. If your muscles refuse to loosen up and stretch, take magnesium or an Epsom salt bath.

Hi Shelley!

I'll get some Udos oil and try it Smile

What I meant with the muscles is instead of them getting toned, the next day they seem to sag more. Is that the recovery not doing what it should in the muscle?

I am trying to tone up and build muscle again, I walk for cardio but want to start lifting weights.

Thank you for your help!

Muscles can't sag, dearie. If you see something sagging, it's skin and fat, not muscle. It could be there isn't enough muscle anymore to keep the skin as tight as it was before.

Everything we see on the body is due to relativity. We never see things about ourselves in true proportions of everyone else. Everything about the shape of our bodies is heightened in the worst way.

Hi Shelley Smile

I'll have to do a built more building then, maybe less cardio for now.

I know, I'm older than I was when I lifted before and muscles may not do what they did but lifting will help build my bones as well.

Thanks again for your help!
