As most of my readers know, I am not a big supporter of soy products apart from lecithin. They're not that nutritious, not that tasty, plus they reduce thyroid activity and increase estrogen levels. Basically, the popularity of tofu as a health food was a fraud perpetuated on an unsuspecting public by very good spin doctors.

It's gotten to the point where they're cutting down the Amazon forest in order to grow soybeans. This releases harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and increases global warming. Vegetarians claim to care more about the planet than most, but they're destroying it faster than meat eaters!

Be sure to spread the word - if you wish to eat soy products, make sure they come from some place other than the Amazon! Boycott all Amazonian tofu, tempeh, and the companies that use Amazonian soy products!

Hi there! I was reading the Super Baby Food book and it says you can introduce yofu beginning at 7 months. Would you recommend this? It sounds already like you wouldn't but I just wanted to make sure.

I am trying to raise my baby w/as little meat in his diet as possible and I am looking for protein replacement. I give him avocados everyday for the good fats. What else would you recommend?

TIA!

Maria

Oh, I was going to add I wondered about giving my baby a little coconut oil everyday or every other day. What do you think?
