|

Hi Shelley
I've been preparing for my liver flush next week taking 2x500mg of malic acid a day. I've been getting stomach pain on and off and realised now it's the malic acid. The pain I got today was quite bad and thought I was going to throw up! It happened about 5-10 mins after I'd taken it.
This didn't happen when I was taking it for my first liver flush a few weeks ago.
These symptoms suggest the beginnings of an ulcer though I don't get pain when I eat or in betweenmeals. Do you know if malic acid can cause ulcers or would it only happen if someone if very acidic and the malic acid just makes things worse?
Would the liver flush have drawn on my reserves leading to acidity? I have binged a little since then, mainly oatmeal and almond milk!
Could noni juice = extra acidity? I've been taking that for about 4 days.
As it didn't happen last time, could be just a cumulative of malic acid on the body or something has happened between then and now to make me react?
Presumably I should just eat foods to heal the lining, eg sweet potatoes, carrot juice, oils, zinc, aloe vera etc? Would it be worth taking an parasitic herb?
It's a shame as I'll have to stop now and postpone the liver flush as I don't have anything else to take
Thanks
Anne
P.S. Just adding to this message, I've just read a response by Andreas to a question on curezone re malic acid. He says an an alternative you can drink 4 classes of cranberry juice a day, for 6 days before flushing. Does this sound OK to you? |

All fruit, especially fruit with a lot of tart skin, has malic acid. Cherry juice is wonderful, easier to drink than cranberry.
Sounds like you've built up your stomach acids so that they are at a healthy level and the malic acid is pushing you over to the other side of the pendulum. So either take it with food, or take less, or drink fruit juice dosed with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. You can also switch to lecithin as a stone dissolver. |

Thanks Shelley
That's positive then
Is cherry juice OK if you have tendency to candida?
Lecithin definitely desolves stones? How much would I need to take?
Ta!

Cherry is okay if it's a sourer cherry cider, but unsweetened cranberry might be better - lordy it tastes awful tho! LOL! Guess you could add Stevia.
1 tablespoon of Lecithin 3x daily is the therapeutic amount. Read the Liver managemnet section in the FAQ it's all there. |

Thanks again Think I'll stick to the cranberry juice as I can get hold of the unsweetened stuff easily.
I agree it's not nice at all.....very tart, but compared to noni it's delicious!!! |

Shelley, I'm Ok now with the malic acid taking it with food Today though I did buy some Aecerola cherry juice...would this type of cherry juice be sour enough to use in prep for liver flush, I've never tasted it.
Thanks

It should be! It's still cherries, with a skin, so it must have malic acid! |
